I have the same problem. I bought a new blower motor. When I unplugged the wiring harness to the blower motor it was melted. The 2 wires were touching each other. I checked the voltage to the 2 wires and anytime the key is on there is power going to the wires. There is power even if the climate control is off. I did change the relay.

Does anybody know if there should be power going to the motor even if the climate control is off? If no does anybody know how to fix this? A friend mentioned something about a transistor.

Thanks

I'm jumping ship for an 06 Civic Si later this year. My TL has 55k miles and it's stuff like this I don't want to have to deal with. Like you, every problem discussed on this site has developed with my car.

Look under your glove box closer to the passenger’s door. There is a black plastic or rubber cover. Take the cover off and you'll see 2 wires, probable wrapped in electrical tape, going into a harness that plugs into the blowers motor.

The blower stopped working back in July while using my AC. So I banged on the blower and it worked fine up until last week.

I think this is part 79330-S0K-A01 TRANSISTOR ASSY. I have the same problem where the interior fan just stopped working on my 02 TL.

Anyone else have to replace this part??
