I dont think there really is a complete write up. I have in General speak when people asked posted a quick break down of it. Try searching and see if you come up with any thing.
Edit, just download the manual

note: go rent a big bad trans jack--that thing weighs 450 pounds
Need one good for 1000,,, like you would a car jack--get more than what it needs for ease of operation,,
500 lb limit isnt going to cut it,,,, and still expect to avoid an Emergency Room visit

a ziner recently used what seemed to be a good jack but trans didnt secure well--fell over, chipped case,,lots of fun!

the engine stays in
acura pulls them put the bottem like a normal fwd car- 4 hours no sweat for tech who knows every bolt and tools laid out, takes them about 2.5 to remove and 1.5 to install when new unit arrives on the pallet
other shops get about 6 hours maybe more
DIY
remove L axle and supporting suspension bits
unbolt trans
see above note on danger with trans jack limits

See post 2. there is a link in it.

And yes, the trans can be removed without taking the engine. It drops out the bottom. (i have removed 3 of them)
