Does anyone know what kind of bulb the 02 acura tl has? My passenger side bulb has been out for awhile and I really need to replace it. The dealership wouldn't give me any info on the bulb and said it was just an HID. They gave me an estimate of $150 + 55 installation. I really would like to just buy the same one online and install it myself. Any help tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Btw, they also gave me a recall letter for my airbag and said there's a possibility of a shrapnel bomb explosion. I'm assuming most of you guys had it replaced already?

Thanks! Just bought some Philips 4300k D2r HIDs for $45 and figured out how to install it myself. Total savings $155 + gas.

 

Hope you bought them in PAIRS (always replace bulbs in pairs). and look in the DIY thread, it has instructions on replacing the bulb.

 

He stated that he bought "some Philips 4300k D2r HIDs" so that would mean more than one bulb...lol.

 

So I changed my passenger side bulb with no problems, but now it will not turn on. Can anyone help me out with this? I can't afford to take it to the shop right now.

All the other lights work on my car besides the passenger low beam.

 

A friend told me it's probably my ballast that I would have to swap out. It seems like the logical solution. Does anyone know where I can purchase one for cheap?

or the diy or search for headlights

do you have moisture inside the housing lens after washing, or overnight mositure gets into there?
if so- that water drips down and out a vent hole directly above the ballast and that fails- plenty of horror stories about it- just have a look

aftermarket ballest or auto recycler (junkyard) for replacement
