you have a leak- find it
look at back of ps pump for leak at orings and feel the hoses and hose ends for fluid
ck rubber end caps on steering rack- peel back and look for fluid- should be none there or rack seals have blown
Have friend turn wheels back and forth with engine running so you can observe under load

if you hear the steering inside the car the pump is whining- from bad bearing or low flud (which leads to bad bearing)

try a search on here for `steering pump` in the prob and fixes section

I would get this fixed ASAP. The PS pump is just waiting to fail.

Find the leak, it's probably a very slow one. Check for built up dirt and grime, it where the fluid probably leaks.
