oyeah.. and im also working on my mesh grill right now. if anyone knows a good site with the DIY for it, that could really be helpful. thanks!

and does anyone know if there is a big difference between 6000K Phillips HID's and Xetronic HID's? is there a big color difference? and is it really worth paying 40 dollars more for the xetronic's?

that was only on the 99TL's. you basicly just remove the outer paint of the stock shift plate, and out comes the shiny chrome coat underneathe.

no it was only exclusive for the 99 models. you guys have the 5speed shift plates. if you didnt know, the 99 was the only TL that had a 4speed automatic and least to no tranny problems at all. the 4 speed shift plate was chromed at the factory, and then painted over with that brush aluminum look paint. but owners of the 99TL can easily remove that outer coat with graffitti remover, paint remover, stripper, etc.

'99s have had problems but not near the amount of the 5 speeds. And any 2nd gen TL can put the '99 shift plate on their car, you will just lose the 1-2 gear shift.

local "ricer" store!!!! haha

yeah the shiftknob is definitly something that i am really happy about. the bottom is chrome and matches the shift gate, the top is wood that looks perfect with the side panels. that Razo was a perfect match on my car, that's why i bought it! and probably one of the car's well worth for the money part that i have gotten so far. for only 45 bucks (did a little negotiating, since im at that store every single day after work looking for parts), its probbaly one of the nicest shiftknobs out there for this car!

So does that mean I can bring my car to body shop and let them paint the shift plate in chrome for me?

just go buy chrome paint, spray it like crazy.. sand it after its dry, and then spray it again. it wont look as nice as the ones the 99TL's have, but its worth a try.
