Overview
The swap module allows for the interfacing of a 6 speed manual transmission with a stock 5 speed automatic transmission computer from the TL, Odyssey and CL. This allows for automatic to manual conversions and for engine swaps.

Without the module the following feature will not work.
-VTEC
-Full rev limit
-Speedo
-Reverse lock out
-Reverse light
-Passing inspection due to CEL

The advantage over using the 03 CL 6 speed ECU.
-You keep your stock ECU.
-No need to change engine harness
-No need for expensive cam gears and sensors
-No need to tow your car to dealer to immobilizer programming
-No need to tear apart interior to change body harness
-Allow you to use TL and Accord 6 speed which are more plentiful and have less mileage.
-No CEL

Basically you can save lots of money using the harness and everything is simplified.

As for the 99 to 00-03 TL-P motor, Im not sure of the exact differences. The intake is the main difference, Stuff like the crank position sensor is the same.

so is this actually official.
How many have had this installed with the type s ECU and 6 speed.
For how long ??
Is this module begin TESTED & TRUSTED = (No, power loss in comparable to true 6 speed)
No Clitches (i.e true P N P). ???

sounds very promising..........
Time for a 6 speed swap then.

No... As stated before, these modules trick the existing ECU into thinking there is an auto hooked up

I did because i used the CLS ECU. That motor and trans setup doesnt have it. Im sure you can keep it with the modules, but it may not work the same (and the motor may stall out ???? (no torque converter/auto trans to keep the motor running)???

Not sure about this one, I have the set up runing on a Accord right now and the ECU doesn't really miss it.

All the Acura 6 speeds have LSD the Honda ones do not.

Not sure about this one yet the 99 ecu is a beast I haven't messed with yet. Hopefully someone is willing to test it.

As of right now only me there are a few running the Odyssey ECU. There are about 4 cars waiting for this module once it comes out we will know for sure.

There is NO set #. Not every one is going to get the same price on parts. Some find good deals, some pull the parts themselves from the salvage yards, some buy new. As demand goes up so do prices.

The harness will run about $500 and I charge $1000 labor for the complete swap. The price of the parts depends on how hard you search.

Its a couple grand for just the parts even if you use module. The module will save you from having to buy a different motor/ecu/wiring harnesses and make life a lot easier.

Is this harness is going to have a plug of some sort?
Splicing into the orig harness is how it will have to be installed?

I do plan on offering a complete engine harness for those that do not want to modify their own. Or doing it as a service.

Everything is working fine the first module/harness shipped out today to Paul he will install it in Nates car. Hopefully it is problem free and I can start mass producing these. So far it is working fine on the TL-s and Odyssey ECU. Next I will work on something for the 4 speed automatic transmissions.

Wow

This is awesome! I wish Acura would have produced the TL with an optional 6spd manual like they did with the CL. In any case, thank God for techies like RichieV6, fatyms, and others who are making it an aftermarket possibility! I'm sick and tired of my automatic transmission..and I miss driving a stick-shift car. The economy isn't the friendliest right now, but as SOON as I have the money togther to do the swap, it will be done.
RichieV6 - you said you'd charge $1500 for the module and the labor. What state do you live in, and how long does it take to complete the swap?
And is there anyone else who would consider taking the swap job?
