I am working on it now, I got the J32A2 in my car with a 6 speed and 5AT auto ecu. The 5AT ecu is much smarter then the 4AT in the accord. It can actually tell if the gear ratios are different and throw a code. I need a car to do some measurement, so I can give the ecu what is looking for. Where are you located in Chi-town? I was just about to PM Rajca.

Once I get the measurements I know exactly what to give the ecu to tell it to STFU. Work is progressing slowly but surely if so freaking cold here. I need to run inside every 10 mins to warm up.

If you're doing this with the 5at tranny then would 4at guys have to buy the newer transmission to run the module?

4AT is working fine on the accord if you want to try I am 90% confident everything will work right. The worst thing would be a CEL but everything else should work right. Anyone want to try?

ok. so just to clarify. your harness will allow my 99 TL engine to bolt up to a 6 speed manual transmission and will only throw a check engine code because of the gear ratio issues. correct?

Might not even throw a code, the 4AT is simple.

All I've done is the trans and everything else that you need to do with it.. clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, slave cylinder, master cylinder, clutch lines, new clutch and brake pedal, shifter, shift cables, cupholders, shift boot, e-brake.. probably forgetting something.

Richie's module will prevent you from having to get the CL-S ECU (Type-S motor if you don't have it) and wiring harnesses that will do the "full swap". You are tricking your ECU to think the auto is still there and get to keep your stock ECU and wiring.

I got ya buddy. Paul and I will take care of things on our side.

Now we got the speedo to read just 12mph off....no reverse lockout or VTEC yet but it's not a biggie. As long as I can get from Point A and Point B. Let me or Paul know if you need a tooth recount or anything else.

I hope you can get this thing started

Nope! It saves lots of money reusing parts.

No need for a gauge swap, maybe if you want but it is not needed.

You keep your stock ECU we just trick to think there is automatic still attached.

No because its tricking the ECU. You need those parts ONLY if you use the CL-S6 ecu and wiring

Good news I drove around tonight and everything is working I haven't seen that mismatch code yet. Of course it could pop up anytime I will keep everyone updated. The type-s engine with 6 speed is nuts I almost lost control going 2nd gear around a corner. I try to get some videos tonight.
