SOOOO i really hate amber... lol and I found some chrome/red bulbs on autolumination.com and was thinking of replacing my rear signals with those istead of the amber bulbs I have now... anybody do this already? any comments? good? bad? lol

 

Its legal to have red in the rear signal, dont do it in the front though
Cars from before your time-- all had red and ran off 1 low power bulb!!

Yellow is more of an eye catcher so the other cars see your intention,
as if they were looking at the road and paying attention hahaahahahhahahahhaa

 

I don't remember if you have 02-03 tails or not. If you don't, it will just be a darker orange.

 

I've seen a TL on the road with red LEDs in the rear signals, looked good.

 

i had red led turn signals in the front. a night it looks good and during the day it looks good when the parking light are one. then took them out for some chrome ones that blink yellow. they also look good.

 

Anyone have pictures? For the rear at least? I have been thinking if I should go chrome/red or chrome amber bulbs. The red reminds me of the 5 series BMW.

 

Ive had red led bulbs in my turn signal for a while, seems to be never mentioned when i get pulled over

 

Typically, the red coated bulbs are kinda pink when lit up. And the red LEDs are kinda dim in direct sunlight in clear lenses - just gotta be careful when changing lanes in the afternoon.... With that said, red LEDs in the rears are the way to go!

 

I hate amber bulbs too. I installed Nokya yellow turn signal bulbs. They look much cleaner and brighter than the stock amber bulbs. good compliment to 6000k HIDs

 

do it! i always thought how red would look in the rear, to give that look like modern cars on the road now have...with the turn/brake signals all red...

WELL THATS IS ILLEGAL... i got red led bulbs in the back and switchbacks in the front so im good.....

 

RED is not illegal for the rear, because i didnt know if anyone noticed ALL american cars way back came with red- signals, but your front signals must be clear or amber, no blue or RED and thats based on NYS law.

 

oh man i tried the reds once and its like nothing special unestly.
i got hyper white on my rear blinkers and the front and i love the loook.
looks way cleaner in my opinion.
go to ebay theres plenty of them and pretty cheap

 

i got the deep orange amber looking from Stealthauto.com expensive but nice compliment with my projectors.

I put red LED in my turns yesterday... I'm not feelin it. who knows the best LED bulb for turn and parking lights to match 4300K lows?

okay any recommendations My girl is wdp I was thinking of changing the front turn signals to red and just upgrading the bulbs to led in the rear... (not sure if nypd will go for the red in the rear....sir I am just reaching for my wallet and the vehicle is off...)just joking ..

but listen homie the reds, up front, not a good idea. f the cops their your least consurn, think about looks. unless your car is red. stick with hyper white LED corners. I got them after i tried the reds much cleaner look. Check ebay they got some good shit on there

 

I have white leds (56 led each bulb) in the front and rear. Love them. got them off ebay. Havent got pulled over by the NYPD for the bulbs yet, hopefully i wont jinx myself. Only for speeding, but i use to work with them so they let me go. =p

 

so let see you have super whites in your front turn signal and turn marker and you have white rear turn signals ? attempting to look into my crystal ball to see what they would look like...........humm damm this magician sh*t .. throw some pics up if you got them for your VISUAL LIGHT SETUP...(OH AND YES I GOT JOKES... Both of my parents cars have red turn singals stock, so its diffenently legal. I would be curious to see how this looks on a TL.

Oh yeah I just remembered the 3G TL has red turn singals.

 

YOU ARE CORRECT BUT thats a negative on the LED dept for turn signals. There only LED Brake on the 3g's.I am not questioning the legality I was wondering what the looks are since I asked a few SGT. IN THE NYPD HIGHWAY UNIT and they said THAT THEY DONT CARE IF ITS NEON GREEN AND A FINGER POPS OUT THE BACK IDENTIFYING WHICH WAY YOUR TUNRING AS LONG AS YOU ARE SIGNALING WHAT YOUR INTENTIONS ARE.. .however IN the state of MASS,... BLUE Flashers and Blue signals is A NO GO .. just thought I pass along what I found out..
