Mugen Oil Cap..

Is there one specifically for the 03' TL-S? I see the i-vtec one on kingmotorsports.com, but will it fit since it's for the newer i-vtec engines. I know it seems like a stupid question, but the description says "fits all vehicles". If any has a part # for the right kind, that'll be great. Thanks in advance.

yes it will fit. The old Mugen design oil caps could not work on the ivtec engines b/c you would have a hard time loosening and tightening them....they were more of a flat design. The new design (current) allows you to loosen and tighten them with ease on the ivtec engines because the grips are towards the top.

Why would you buy something on Ebay for 10 when the original is 80. You know that is a fake, and probably a bad one at that.

The Mugen cap will work for you. I had the same questions when I was buying mine. I have NO problem with it.

Go for it!

a lot of people buy the knockoffs b/c they don't see the reason for spending the extra money...$70 in this case. Some people are into knockoffs like wheels, kits, oil caps, etc. b/c to them it serves the same purpose but for a much cheaper price.

because some people aren't into knockoffs. why buy a $30,000+ and put on cheap, crappy aftermarket products?

if you're going to mod your car, do it right.

^ That's what I learned from my Civic. Do it right the first time or don't do it at all. I don't understand why someone would pay that much $ for a Mugen oil cap anyways, but that's just me. If you have the $ to burn, spend away!

I bought a Mugen knockoff oil cap for $30 shipped and it is not "cheap" or "crappy". It actually looks almost identical to the real thing. Same product, does the same job, just at a cheaper price. People tend to buy the expensive things just because of the name brand. Just so they can brag about how much they paid for a piece of metal with a name on it. Honestly, as long as you dont buy the stuff that looks like it was put together in a few minutes... then you should be fine.

can someone compare the knock off and the authentic one and tell me the difference? oil cap is an oil cap, why would you take out the oem one unless your trying to dress it up a bit, so in this case wht difference does it make if its a real mugen or fake mugen, chances are if no one told you, you prolly wont be able to tell the difference

A fake oil cap is no biggie. I wouldn't worry about getting a fake one, though I wouldn't really buy anything other than OEM. Unless the oil cap is of APC-quality you should be fine.

A radiator cap is a different story. Do not buy a fake Mugen radiator cap and think you'll get away with it, radiator caps have a purpose - they're not just for aesthetics.
