Installing puddle lights

I don't see much people having the puddle lights on our 2g tl. So I dont know which wire to tap into in the fuse box that turns on and off with the key fob.

The 3g guys have this write up that makes so much sense https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/puddle-light-wiring-up-schematics-detailed-pics-835659/, but my fuse box doesnt look as similar so i cant compare.

Can anyone help me to find the wire that I need to tap into. thank you.

In the 2G tl there is no dome supervision wire, instead you can tap into the Door trigger wire which is located on top of passenger fuse box, its a black/white (-) wire in a 4 green pin plug.
Took it from that 3G thread...

Black wire w/ white stripe and 2 silver repeating marks (NEGATIVE)
White wire w/ blue stripe and 2 silver repeating marks (POSITIVE)

if you look at pass fuse panel.

there is a green plug that is 4 pin ( 4 wires )

look for that

tap into that.

I know the positive wire is the white and blue, but when i stick the negative to the black wire with white stripes it just wont turn on. But If i just stick the positive in and put the negative on a ground metal piece it just turns on forever. ugh

yea. so. connect the neg to black wire.

then try turning on your domes.

as for the ground. i wired a 3 way switch.

completely off, Neg was connected to nothing

always on, neg was connected to ground

connected to dome, neg was connected to wire on pass fuse.
