Handling

I have a 99TL with a 2" drop with 215/50/16 tires, stock rims. It handles like a school bus. I know the 99TL has crappier strut and sway bars than a TL-S. Should I just get stock TL-S strut and sway bars. Or from a CL-S? I also wonder what my car is as far as weight distribution. Is it 60/40, what it feels like is 80/20. Maybe I need to relocate the battery. Let me know.

huhh..

you're dropped on stock struts? TL-P ones at that..
small tires/wheels. upgrade to lower profile tires on bigger wheels.
tokico hp's would be a start for struts.. koni yellows for good performance.
don't bother with stock stuff unless it's cheap.. CL-S or TL-S are the same, 27mm in the front, 19mm i believe in the rear. you can get the 04+ TL progress RSB for a huge improvement. FSB will be the same diameter but will have thicker walls or be solid. upgrade the endlinks while you're at it for better feel. get a type-S strut bar though, or an aftermarket bar like comptech.

not much you can do for weight distribution other than relocating the battery.. but if you want to remove weight there's a thread in the 3g side that gives a huge list for dropping weight (but also could make it less livable)

The stock shocks will go out after a while, so the OP's shocks are probably done for. I agree with everything rp_guy sed.

That's what you get from a FWD car with a heavy V6 sitting right on top of the front axles.

Basically better tires, better shocks, better rear sway bar.
