04+ gauge cluster swap?

04+ gauge cluster swap?

I am looking to see if this is possible before I get to deep into trying it. If anyone has done this yet or know if it possible within a cretain budget (low).

If anyone wants to help out, I am trying to find the wiring diagrams for both 03 TL and 04+ TL to see how close the wiring is and then go from there. One problem I did notice as of now if the configuration of the new gauges they are 3 circles put together were as our cars it more of a oval shaped top with a flat bottom. If anyone has any pictures of the gauges that would be sweet too.

some cutting of plastic, custom fab, and some cutting and splicing of wires is going be necessary

Thanks for the link for the wiring diagrams and the pictures, I think the next step now it I am going to see if I can pick up a 04+ gauge cluster to mess around with and try to match up the wiring between the two. I will keep this thing updated with any new info I get.

im thinking about doing it also. the 99-03 gauge cluster has 2 connectors in the back and the 04+ has 3 connectors in the back, right?
c0v3rr1d3- can u send me the wiring diagram also

No. the 2nd gen has 3 connectors. (they are on the top)

no, ours has 3 connections on the TOP. I have CL-P and I switched to CL-S.

I'll go take a pic of the top of my CLP cluster

my friends selling an 05tl gauge cluster for $350+shipping, it has 42k miles programed on it. never been used.
