Comptech Headers What a B!*$#

Just installed my comtech headers today and what a bitch they were to put in. Removing the oem headers was not a problem at all, that was actually easy. Connecting the mainfold to the downpipe was hard. Took me a total of 8 hours to install. Did anybody else have this much trouble?

yeah the bolts and nuts comptech gives you are a pain to use. It's hard to get into the tight spaces and tighten them down.

manifold to the downpipe, true that.. did u have a buddy workin with ya? hopefully you did, hold that downpipe in place and trying to but those nuts and bolts in by yourself isn't so fun. haha, but its worth it with the beautiful gains you get

you shoulda hit us up....illtl just got his new suspension in

btw, the rear manifold is a bitch to get off! if you use PB Blaster (1000x better than wd40 soaking) it'll come right off. i can disconnect all of the downpipe to header bolts by myself with a 14 mm box wrench and a 14 mm socket i did it on Sunday lol secret is is to do it all from the bottom and make sure u have enough room to swing a tq wrench around

get them man, you can feel a difference Be sure to get some help though and make sure you have the right tools for the job. A lot of the bolt are hard to reach and a pain in the ass to deal with. i have heard that some of the old bolts of the oem headers are a pain in the ass to remove as well.

Woaa 8 hrs?? you could have swapped a motor and trans in less amount of time.

Its a 2 hr job, especially if you dont have trouble getting the stock equipment off(usually 90% of the job of doing the install)

If you lived closer no doubt, but you live pretty far away. If you run across any questions during the install let me know.
