Hey guys so I re painted my 2001 and I'm planing on spending 1k or less on handling mods I was wondering if I should get bc coilovers I rather performance over luxury any performance coilovers you guys recommend also is there any other mod for handling I can do I want it to hug the corners. After that I will have 1k left the car is currently stock any mods I should do for power.

 

For suspension you can also do eibach front and rear sway bars.

For performance you can do dc sport header, lightweight crank pulley, ported lower runners, intake manifold swap from tl type s and type a throttle body or 09 tl intake manifold and custom throttle body adapter like I have. Those will make the biggest difference.

 

Thanks , how would I go about doing the intake and throttle body and how much gains does it give also how much gains do the headers give

None of that stuff works. Coil overs depends on how much you want to drop the car. The intake manifold and throttle body from a type s is an easy swap. The lightweight crank pulley and headers will be the best for the money.

 

When I looked up headers I found some Megan headers are those Ganna work cuz they are a lot cheeper than any dc's. Idk cuz they said not street legal does that mater I mean who's Ganna look

 

Do they have 1 flex pipe or two. If it's two than they are not as good. The school sport headers seem to be the better quality cheaper header.

 

Actually, an underdrive pulley is the best bang for the buck.

I got mine for $25 on Ebay and it works perfect. Noticed a difference in performance, and didn't notice any dim lights or anything losing electrical power.

Did the research and a lot of people already have one, even no named brands, and they work perfect even after the oh so many miles they've put on it.
