will 03 types seats swap to my 01 tlp
Hey guys this is actually my first post after almost a year on the site and I was just wondering if I could swap 2003 types seats into my 2001 tl-p without any problems. I have a rip in the stiching so I'm looking to replace the two front seats. Also the seats I'm looking at are the black leather where as I have tan interior now....would this be a bad idea as far as mixing interior colors? Thanks for any help

Yea it would look stupid, right? Black seats in a tan interior doesn't make sense.
The seat will bolt in and fit, but the wiring won't hook up. What you can do is just replace the cushion part, and keep the wiring and frame part.

Alright ya it sounds like it wouldn't work more I think about it although the seller of the seats also has the rear but and belts would stick out. The seat I have now are not in to bad condition aside the small section the stiching broke. Thanks for the replys and advice guys

Yea I was going to look into just getting it fixed but at the good price the seats were at I would have rather gotten newer better cond. Seats. I also believe the type s seats are almost a
buckeseat style if I'm not mistaken? Anyone have a idea how much it would cost to repair? I assumed it would cost a lot but I really don't know the its not bad the leather isn't even ripped the stitching just came out for about a 3 inch section maybe

I would like to know if there is anything that can be done to make the wiring work because I can get the seats the fronts and the back and the wiring that plugs into the front seats. Would I be able to wire it all up after that?
I just feel like if we can convert these cars to manual and swap other S parts into our cars, getting them in and wiring them shouldn't be completely out of the question.

The best thing to help would be to have the actual wiring diagrams showing the differences between the two. There may be some previous posted threads on the subject if ya try searching. Otherwise, download a copy of the factory service manual to help ya.

Thanks but I figured it out right after I posted. With the laptop I couldn't find answers when I Google'd , but when I searched with my phone via Google, it came right up (an old Acurazine thread) and I sorted through the diagrams. As simple as I thought it would be.

Hey guys so I may be getting some CL-S seats. I read that you are swapping out the cushions and such (as described in this thread That is here (link)) but I was wondering if you could elaborate a bit more.
I am also swapping from a 2001 CL to a 2003 TL-P, so I dont believe I will have to worry about the wiring correct?
I will probably be doing this this weekend.

What do you need elaborated more? Once the seat is out you will see how to disassemble everything.
Personally i would just repin the harness. It would take less time. Just draw out your diagram first then go off of that. Its not hard at all.
