02 TL-S seats in 2000 TL-P

I just swapped 02 tl-s seats(front and rear) into my 2000 tl ran into a couple of problems...

1) the tl-s main-power harness/plug under the driver seat is different(figured because of the memory feature on 02-03 models) compared to the 2000 tl-p one. can anyone get me the 2 diagrams for 02 tl-s/2000 tl-p.. I'm gonna re-pin and switch the wires needed to power the seats.

also the rear top tl-s seat don't sit as flush as the tl-p ones. I can get it to rear top seat to sit low enough so I can install the 2 10pm bolts on each side..

I'm sure someone did this seat swap before and any help would be aprreciated. thanks in advance

you have to swap your tl-p seat harness to the tl-s seat. all the plugs are the exact same except the plug that goes to the floor. This is very easy and only takes like 15 min.

thanks!! Im gonna try it today..

sorry about the mix up with the rear seats..

there's alittle gap between the rear top cushion and rear bottom. I can't get the rear top cushion to come down flush or low enough so I can bolt up the 2 10mm bolts on each side. I was kinda rushing it so I'm gonna double check everything today... thanks again guys

Im doing the same swap on my tl-p, im using the diagram posted on 03tLsNBP thread... i'll be doing the actual conversion tomorrow, any luck on yours? does everything work the same?

i keep pondering the idea of having the memory feature in my 00 tl-p... if i find the module and driver door panel i might try it.

i swapped out my entire interior a couple years back..
i just swapped the new cushions on the old seat frames... couldnt get the wiring correct at first and just did this. just takes a little elbow grease

you get to use your original wiring harness/motors...
it turned out fine.

everything just unclips and unbolts...

just simply take apart both seats.. the top cushion slides over the framing.. the bottom cushion bolts down on top of the frame.

seat motors and heaters fired right up after install..
wish i had just done that from the beginning.

just took my black seat apart today. took a bit of elbow grease as you said, but i got it done. just gotta take apart my tan seat tomorrow morning and swap the cushions.

im lucky since im swapping from one Type S to another Type S, i dont think i need to swap the motors or control unit or anything.

using your old motors and CU is fine, it's the same ones afterall!

glad I could offer an alternative for you.

anyone trying just swapping over the seat plugs. I dont have my tl-p seats anymore but I did cut the harness plug from the TL-S, I was gonna try rewire the plug that goes into the seat itself.. well see how it goes?.?.?

that was my original plan, but since i have both seats available i decided to go with rockstars method. its so much easier and less risky than messing with the wiring.
