Here are some pics of Closer's car and Avirex's. Top one (closer's) without grill painted (oem look) and Avirex's with his grill painted body color. I made an appointment to get it done on Monday and I've been getting mixed opinions on it. What do you guys think of it?

i'm confused.....it looks to me that it's the other way around

 

I kinda like it not pained. I like the contrast behind the wings. Id spend my time/money painting elsewhere first. If I had to redo it all over again, I'd paint the calipers first..then the engine bay.

 

oh wait! Sorry, I was looking at something else....I like it not painted b/c the emblem and the wings look like they're "floating" inside the grill

Hmmm...I can't decide...i like both the non-painted look and painted. I'm considering painting mines WDP. but i dunno.

 

Maybe if you painted JUST the mesh part. I think that would look better than the whole grill. Just my opinion.

 

This is what I wanna do, look at the grill on the red CLS, see how he painted over the dull part of the grill... Im going to do that.. looks soo much better in person. And makes the car look more classy.
It will look even better on black.


I say paint everything, but dont paint the mesh part... Thats what im going to do.. im going to paint the dull parts the same color the car is..



I also might do that to the lower parts..

 

Looks good. I like the grill the way it is, but thats a cool mod.

 

I like it on the silver, and I think it would look good on the white. It would not make any diffence on the black or maybe even the anthracite. It also looks good on the red.

 

I would say paint it... but instead of paint it body color, I would go with black.... stock grill isn't black enough, and by paint it black, it makes the chrome strip and emblem stand out...

you're talking about the inner grill right?...hmm....can't decide either....they both look nice.

 

I'm gonna do that Crzy Acura is doing. Paint everything except for the mesh part.

 

I like it non-painted.

 

I like it nonpainted. Then again....I have a NBP car and the effect is about the same as if it were painted.

 

I like the OEM, I would probably go for what Crzy says, paint the dull part and not the mesh....

 

I'm having the surounding portion of the grille painted body color as we speak. I'm leaving the mesh portion black though to contrast and look more natural.

poor carfreak.... no one likes the painted mesh... Its ok do it anyways cuz remember, you dont care what people think.

I never considered that mod for my ABP, you doing it yourself or taking it to the garage?

 

i personally like the all black grill (no chrome), this looks good on any car color, i look the stealth look
