What to do for better handling?

I want my TL Type-S to have a better handling at corners and in general... what should I do? What brand? How much?

Thanks.

go with either Comptech Springs, or H&R Sport Springs. if you're still dissatisfied with the handling capability after that, put some CT sways on, then let us know what you think.

1) Springs and Struts together
2) Tires
3) Sways.

I did CT Spring and Sways with Toyo T1-S tires.

Lovin' it.

BTW - your first name wouldn't happen to be Tony would it?

1. Tires first
2. then sways
3. then springs/shocks

The first two will get you 90% of the way there.

P.S. You may get differing opinions here but I have driven cars with tires only, sways only, and springs only and based my conclusion on that.

Now this is obviously the most sensical way to go...why would you ever change just the shocks without the springs or just the springs without the shocks.

Yeah, but I see it all of the time here on the board. Springs without struts is a common question and occurence.

My first name IS NOT Tony by the way... thanks for the comments... I thought shocks and coil overs did more good than the sways.

I would agree that if you were going to a different spring (i.e. something to lower your car), you *should* replace the shocks because of the reduced dampening length of the shocks.

Remember shocks (struts) dampen the vertical motion induced by driving your car along a rough surface. Shocks absorb any larger-than-average bumps in the road so that the "shock" of the road isn't transmitted to the car chassis; they also keep the suspension at as full a travel as possible for the given road conditions. Shocks keep your wheels planted on the road.
