Washing Car

I don't know how you folks feel about this but what drives me insane is when I wash my car and it rains the next day! Talk about all that hard work for nothing... just thought i'd vent it out somewhere...

If you park your car outside and it rains on it, unless you have heavy acid rain, it won't get that really dirty if its been waxed and properly treated. It gets really dirty when you drive in the rain and it just happens that some of us have to drive to and back from work about almost everyday so leaving the car inside isn't an option. Anyways...........get a color like Satin Silver metallic.....my Accord doesn't really seem dirty as much as my White Taffeta TL after it rains.

I know how you feel, my car is as dirty as **** and I just want to wash it but the weather just hasn't been too friendly. Washed it the first chance I got, waxed and then parked it inside... I'll take the old car out if I need to =)

If you guys ever want it to rain, just wash your car. It never freaking fails. Even if they say the weather is nice the next day, there will probably be a storm that will pop up out of nowhere.

I did watch the weather channel. It wasn't suppose to rain esp in Cali.. and yes I should have parked in the garage but I didn't think about it. BTW I have SSM but it still looks somewhat dirty.

it doesn't matter if you watch the weather channel or not... it is a known fact that the minute after you finish washing your car, you have between 10 mins and 72 hours before the rain comes...

it sucks... and it has been raining almost every day here in virginia

It`s all part of life. Last Sunday morning I was half way thru washing, it started to sprinkel out of nowhere not a cloud in the sky.
What could I do, I kept washing. Then wated for an hour and finished up. It`s bad enough the neighbors think I`m nuts for washing it all the time.

Rain or shine !

Ok some of you need to stop washing your cars so much - probably stop the flood we're having in Central Florida currently.

Seriously, I have an SSM 2003 TL-S and the only thing that gets to me is the dirty water that ends up on the wheel wells and the door area (and no I don't want splashguards).

Plus need to RainX the windows, the water just sheets on them causing sightline problems.

Two easy words for you

Quick Detailer. 5-10 minutes max. I do it during my lunch all the time.

Yeah , get the Meguiars quick detailer stuff, trust me its awesome especially if you have a couple of coats of wax already on the car. here in MN the weather sucks 10 times worse. it is so damn unpredictable. I just washed and waxed the TL yesterday and no surprise it was sprinkling rain today. I usually park inside the garage but my mom is cleaning it for my grad party so only the Benz stays inside. grrr....

Anyone got any ideas of where to get a good deal for this stuff. $4-5 bucks at Walmart for a 16oz. bottle is ok but I tend to use 1 bottle for 1 to 1.5 times.
