Vibration problem

the problem is when i hit the brakes it feels like the front wobbles but not the same as warped rotors but i changed them anyway and still fill it so i had the front end checked and was told it was good so i want to know can it be a bad tire that might be damage because when i had the tire balanced i think one tire didn't rotate evenly because all these potholes tires and rims take a beaten

I've noticed this as well, exactly. Everything has been checked out with the brakes and wheels.
Wonder if it's the booster or tranny or something, I have no clue lol

Double check the suspension, as worn wheel bearings or tie rod ends can cause some vibration. It's also worth the time to rotate the front tires to the rear and see what happens. Could be a tire is out of round or has damaged internal belts. Also the rim could be unbalanced or has a build up on it. Try the simple stuff first, make sure that the lugs are properly torqued.

Hmmm out of all that stuff and more I'm left with wheel bearings and tie rod ends. thanks

my recently started doing this too! my front end and steering wheel only vibrate when i brake at excess of 65mph though.

i've replaced both outer tie rod ends, both upper ball joints and control arms, front pads, and gotten an alignment.

firestone complete auto care, who i get unlimited lifetime alignments from, said everything checks out fine. wonder what could be issue...

Normally the first things to check for are warped rotors, unbalanced tires, worn suspension or driveshafts.
Just the process of inspection and elimination !

everything was checked and was ok i was told both front bearings changed 2 years ago rotors 6 months ago but had the tire checked today and it is damaged has a lump in it that you can see when it spins so i put the factories back on and that stop the vibration i got when i was driven but the brake part is still there but the brake peddle doesn't vibrate feels smooth

I had this happen on Mine when i switched my rims. Tires were out of balance so the card would shake over 60. HAve you checked the calipers? Could be one of the pistons is not engaging properly

Have you replaced the strut rod bushings? I had to replace mine a few months agao and I noticed a considerable difference.

looks like i should just replace my bearings and bushings(excl. strut bushings) since i'm second owner and just hit 120k, is it a job i can just do in the garage on a sunday afternoon yall think?

pretty much everything else is new, new rotors from last summer, new pads last week, new struts and springs last summer, new upper ball joints/control arms in december, new outer tie rod ends in december..

Last edited by peewizzle; Mar 19, 2013 at 01:00 PM. Reason: front strut bushings already complete when i did drop

when i first had the problem i had a lot of vibration when driving and when i hit the brake it felt stronger so i check the front end over and over all good so i check the tires and they were out of shape i guess from the potholes everywhere so new tires vibration was gone while driving which was bad but now braking was vibrating and check the rotors the back was warped so changed those getting better but still a little vibration so i took a guess and changed one in the front with one i changed in Oct. and it was the right one vibration gone but it just seems funny that the rotors went bad after i used Green Stuff pads never know because the problem i had was the tire at first but the vibration became worse over time after the pads were change

Tire shops are known to warp your rotors when using those power guns to tighten the hell out of the lugs nuts. I always tell them to do it by hand.
