Sorry i was talking about a silicon adapter that has a different size on each end of it. So instead of have the same size connector like your original one on your intake this one has two size's.

1fasttl, what has to be modified on our TLP to gain increases in whp if installing a CLS/TLS throttle body?

Thanks!

I'am not sure about the TL-P manifold, but you might have to bore out the manifold were the tb bolts up to just to match the same size diameter of the S tb. I could be wrong as i know if you really want to gain some extra hp just go with a complete TL-S/CL-S manifold. And of course you have all the bolt-ons and for and easy 15-20hp you can always put in a test pipe like i did. The only down fall is you'll have a check engine light that's all but wow will you notice a difference.

From all the bolt ons that I already have, if I get the UR Pulley, full cat back, TLS/CLS throttle body and TLS/CLS manifold/bore out manifold, I would be able to increase my hp an add'l 15-20hp. This 15-20hp does not include my headers and intake correct?

hey i just ordered the type-s throttle body for 135 shipped from texas to mass. not bad. i was wondering if on my 99tl with the type-s throttle body if i could just buy a type s cold air intake so i would not have to use a conversion pipe. Will the CAI meant for the acura tl type s fit on my 1999 acura tl with a type-s throttle body?

No a TL-S intake will not fit cause of the VSA TB. The TL-S aem intake is too short because of the VSA.

Do you know how short it is? could we possible just use a longer extention of somesort?
Going by Aem's website for Cold air intakes, all 1999-2003 base model TL's all use the same part number. 02-03 base TL's have VSA, so why would they still use the same part number with the 99-01's (tcs)? Just trying to confirm this info. I also have a 99 and want to install the type-s TB, but i was thinking of getting a Type-s CT icebox. I wasn't sure if it will fit due to a possible difference in design of the base and type-s TL.

Acura TL 2002-03 A/T Only Type-S 21-419
Acura TL 2000-03 3.2L 21-416
*anybody knows? please chime in. Thanks

Both the TL-S TB are the same. As for the AEM CAI, you will need a reducer from the 3" Type-S TB to the 2.75" Cai.
