Transmission performance

I just had the oil jet recall performed on my 2000 TL. I must say I actually notice a difference. Seems to shift better in all gears and pick up speed better. I dont know why but I definately can feel a difference and some fuel econemy improvement. I also have less vibration at high speeds

Didn't notice anything when I had it done.

I did notice an improvement when I flushed my tranny. They don't even change your tranny fluid for this service bulletin.

they dont need to, the jet kit goes into the tranny fluid fill hole. i would recomend if you bring it in for the jet kit to have them flush the tranny when they put the kit on

fsttyms1, is there a way of looking the transmission externally to see if the oil jet kit update has been done?

Yeah. Where the oil fill plug for the transmission is, in lieu of the plug itself, you will now see a hose leading up to the jet shown above.

The bracket is secured to an existing bracket and screw.

The fill plug for the tranny is located behind the throttle body.

spl1011, this is a pic of the filler plug on the new tranny. If what you wrote is correct, then they didn't actually install the oil jet kit?

fla-tls,

You have the lastest designed transmission, the oil jet kit is internal instead of external. I just went through this with my new transmission and my Acura dealer confirmed this.

I was surprized to notice a difference. is it possible they adjusted something. This tranny was replaced at 94,000 miles under the recall and I didnt really notice a problem but now after the oil jet kit I nitice better performance. What else could it be? Its not mind over matter

if you can do it, and its for free, then do it. If its cheap, then do it - I seems easy to do.

I think its mind over matter.
Like I mentioned earlier, I undoubtably noticed a difference when I flushed the tranny. I noticed nothing with the jet kit install.

People seem to be reacting like the "jet kit" puts a jet engine in your car or something.
Has anyone done this mod yet?? lol....
