Looked out my window and seen two guys running down my street. Ran outside and this is what I saw



Why???? It's crazy how people still wanna go after these old cars!!!! Very discouraging!!

Sorry to hear. Had someone try to literally run over my car and smashed my windshield with their foot a few years ago.

Hopefully nothing valuable stolen. Anything in plain sight?

Ohhh dude that sucks!!! Sorry to see this... Hope they didn't get anything and glad that the Alarm did its job.


This makes me think why Acura didn't bother with vibration sensors in stock they went with all the trouble with the immobilizer system but failed to install a simple G-sensor is beyond me...
Bet they were all confident when they broke the window and nothing happened UNTIL they unlocked the door...

 

Thanks guys for your concerns but my car is always spotless on the inside. I leave nothing on plain sight. Not even dirt. Lol. I really don't know what the purpose of this was. Safelite wants 300 for a new one installed. Smh.

 

If they were trying to take the whole car that would bother me because after fixing this there's a possible chance of a return.

 

Buy a window from a junk yard. I'll walk you thru the process step-by-step.

$300 for a window is crazy. Safelite is for rich people with no DIY in them.

 

Car is old, but people still want parts and stuff. Or they just want to joyride and mess around. After my family's car was vandalized several times we set up a camera system on our usual parking spots and people stopped messing with them. I assume whoever was messing with us saw us setting it up. Doesn't stop the crime, but is a deterrent.

 

Yeah I didn't know it was like that. I got this car thinking nobody would care about it. But I went to my boys shop and he called this place. Purchasing a glass tomorrow for 65 bucks and at least it's gonna be oem. It's coming used off another junked tl instead of paying safelite that 300 and it wouldn't be a oem replacement. On the bright side I made the best of my day and put my lip kit on finally

 

Had to have been the Tein you just installed, caught some eyes! j/k sucks but least the alarm did its job.

 

Ahh finally back in business!! Hopefully they don't come around again. Total after I installed myself was 65 bucks for that glass from the junkyard and still keep it oem

 

Just gotta get my window retinted now

 

Yeah, all BS and a total PITA.....but ya saved a few bucks by DIY.
PS: the lip kit looks good, better get a flashing alarm and window stickers !
