Smoked Taillights
well its not that i dislike the look, its just that the brake lights are harder to see in the daytime and i HATE that. plus they are illegal and if you do get rear ended, the other person can fight it and you might end up having to pay your deductible even though it wasnt your fault. ive heard of things like that happening before.
but if you do what Tequila did with the smoked turn signals, i think it looks decent. i was thinking of doing the same a while ago.

I like them lightly smoked. And if you use thinned out black paint instead of VHT nightshade, the light can shine through better.. I completely blacked out my taillights on my accord and the brake lights were still really bright. But i got tired of the look so I took them off and got another set and just tinted the red portion to a maroon color. That's the best shade IMO. I plan to do my 02-03 Tails the same way in the future...

imo, im not a fan of smoked out lights and i've seen it done before on our cars where the entire light was smoked out, also to where only the red part was smoked out and i still didn't like it. dont to it, non smoked out lights are perfectly fine.
This one?

By the way, I used to have my tails tinted with the spray for about 1.5 years...never got rear ended or pulled over. The spray tint is made for the red to illuminate through the black. I took it off now though because I do like the clean OEM look better. Do what you want though...but do it yourself, it was too easy to pay someone else.

I think tinting just the red part looks really nice but it depends on your car color too. I had an AM so the colors went nicely together. You have a SSM or LGM so I would just leave it stock.
