Say hello to another Noob :)

I'm not really a noobie..... As yall already know, I recently totalled my 97 2.2 Cl and State Farm officially took it away from me. But....... I just bought me a 99 tl green with 90000 miles for 8000. So i'm apart of the tl family now. Can't wait to start the modding.... Any advice for a noobie?

welcome to the forums.....when i first got my TL i changed my tail lights to the type-s tail lights with the white tips i think you should get rid of the tails then get the OEM lip kit if you can find one, then drop that baby on some tein coilovers but they are a shitload of money thats why i have the H&R Sport Springs which would be good also.....most people might say start wit an intake, headers and exhaust but its all up to you welcome to the family good luck

Sorry for this noob question. I tried searching but i didn't really get a official answer for my question. For the exhaust system... What will fit our cars? Do we only have axle backs or do we have the full system? What is a good site I can buy parts for our cars?

O yeah..... Is this true. The owner of the car told me I shouldn't use regular gas for the tl. What gas should I use? Gas is a bitch.

They like the High Test. 91 and up is preferable, some say they don't notice any problems with 89. But 89 would be the lowest I would go.

Premium only; no need to get cheap over a buck at the pump and put your engine through more work. Our engines are designed to run on premium gas.

As for modding, it's up to you. What's your priority? Suspension, power, appearance?

For suspension, I would recommend going with coilovers, since your car has 90,000 miles and the struts probably have had it. Sway bars would be a nice addition, too.

For power, definitely the usual bolt-on's -- intake, headers, pulleys, exhaust.

Appearance, I think the OEM kit looks the best. You could probably pick one up for like 400-500 painted and shipped now.

Thanks, I need to take new pics, i think those pics didn't come out so good only a couple, plus I lowered it a bit more.
By the way I dont know if you can use solvent (dont really know what that is either), I just used paint thinner/remover, u can get some from home depot for like 4 bucks if u dont got any. That's about the cheapest mod but very nice! Black housing/clearing the headlights is the second cheapest one but is alotttt more time consuming.
