Thumbs up Saw Something Cool This Weekend Never Saw Before

sup all, this weekend i saw a TLS on the parkway that had Real Hids in the fog lights as well as the turn signal lenses needless to say they were bright as hell i didnt see if he used them as a flashing turn signal because I didnt see the car long enough to see the driver use the turn signal if so that what be the first time ive seen them used as flashers and or turn signal bulbs didnt even thing that there was enough juice to do that but w cars these days any mod is possible...anyone elese ever see this on a TL or any car........peace

question...if they werent lit, how could you tell they were hid's? maybe they were just regular aftermarket bulbs?

sounds cool, but way too much effort for very little gain. i can't see the hid's even getting close to warm in such a small time. think about when you turn on your lights, takes a good second or two for them to reach somewhat normal color.

what would be involved in that mod? arent the turn signals really low voltage bulbs? i know theres no hid bulbs that small, must be one hell of a conversion if it was done.

i highly doubt they were real hids in the turn signals, first of all thats not only a waste of money, but blinking them on and off will cause the electrodes to prematurely wear out and case damage to the bulb., second the temperature at which the bulb runs will surely melt the housing in a matter of minutes, not to mention the fact that it would be illegal as the set limit in terms of wattage is not to exceed 15watts, as you know hids are 35 watts and a gang of lumens, you probably saw some kind of aftermarket bulbs.....the fogs however i can believe a few members have them here already....including myself so i for sure can vouch for that being legit....

i dont know guys they were a perfect match to the hid head and fog lights and they dont have to blink in order to be on r front turn signals are one all the time and blink when we select to turn thats y i was sayin maybe there was a seperate bulb for just turnin and the driver did a special mod just the have the the hids lit all the time like drillin a hole and if there is a regular turn signal bulb that is even remotley close to a real hid where do i get one....maybe it in ur minds may be not do able but there are some drivers out there who want their cars to be unique.....this was just something that really caught my eye and I have never seen before....

not doubting you man, just saying, thats something totally unique, and would probably require several modifications to work.

but, if he did it,

what you saw was probably a high output led source, they are around 6000k output and if viewed at correct angles will appear very bright.....no doubt guy, just wanted to clearify not knock on you...peace
