Depends on what year your car is also.

 

mines is a 99 but I did convert it to a 2001 front.

Its possible, just very labor intensive...New hood, fenders, lights, bumper, etc....
I think fiftyfive did it a while back...Maybe it wasn't him, but somebody on here did it.

Not really bad when insurance pays for it. Just gotta be lucky enough to have someone hit your front. I did it on my 99 and there is another guy by me that just did it to his its a friend of someone that works in my complex not sure if he got hit or anything just know he has a 99-01 with 03 front too. One of the best things you can do to a 99-01 along with tail lights and radio.

OP...how long did the conversion take? that sounds like a daunting task but the redesign looks so much better with the bigger headlamps and whatnot.

I mean, i'd be content with drops and a lip but still...

 

Well mine took a total of 2 months but the body shop also had to fix the parts under from the accident and some other stuff that insurance paid for (2 mounts the whole passenger side knuckle/axel abs module and bunch of other stuff) and at the same time they painted the whole car and they were very very busy I felt like I was never going to get the car back. But when I got it back it was so worth it (of course it was the other persons insurance paid for it LOL)

For anyone looking to do this conversion be sure to use the 02-03 radiator support it will come out far less ghetto. The body shop that did mine used my 99 radiator support they had to cut parts of it and some parts of the apron behind the headlight so they would fit also both mounting tabs on top of the headlights, extend the hood latch (the part that is attached to the hood) grind part of the front bumper beam. From the outside mine looks pretty good I just know under it all its not like it should be.

BTW a lip and drop will still look way better on the newer front LOL

Just trying to prioritize here, front end conversion or lip and drop because i can only do one or the other with my budget

 

yep, and you can subtract the cost of a hood and join the CF hood group buy in the performance section
