RPM dipping
i have a 2000 tl and once in a while when i start the car the Rpms dip under 500 then rev back up by itsef. once its dipped and just dropped to 0 and my car stalled. it dips like a manual tranny car when u let go of the clutch and the car is in gear but u dont gas. does ne one else have this problem?? and if so canu tell me what i can do to fix it?...thans a lot
I had this happen to me once. And know as a ECU problem on 2000TL and i think have a recall on this or what? but i think u should to try bring back to dealer to ask about it.
BTW is happened for u is re-strat after gas station??

my A/C wasn't on. i just started the car and the rpm's dip and once the car stalled. at frst i thought it could be just that i neded a oil change and that wasy thecar was idle-ing but it still happened after i changed my oil.
I think it might be related to some electronic, like temp sensor. Because I only happens during warm start, never happen during cold start. Do they really have a recall? Or just a TSB? I mentioned to them a month after I got the car, the usual answer, didn't find anything wrong.

I have had this problem for over two years. It's soooo annoying. When I turn my steering wheel, the rpm's rise up again. Anyway, this only happens when the engine is warm. If you figure out what it was, please tell me!

Also, don't forget to update us on whether it worked or not!
Black TL I took the intake hose off at the throttle body and held it aside with a coat hanger to keep it out of the way. Then get a rag and put it under the mouth of the TB to catch dirty fluid. Spray the cleaner into the plate area (butterfly valve) and then wipe everything you can reach with your finger wrapped in a clean cloth. You are removing all the black carbon build up you can. Look in there with a flashlight and keep spraying and cleaning until it is all gone. Idle will be smooth.
