Replacing ballast can anyone identify wire colors?

So my right passenger ballast blew out. I've switched bulbs, igniters, checked fuses and relays. it's definitely the ballast for sure.

i've managed to hook up an extra aftermarket ballast i had laying around but when it comes to wiring it to factory igniter, i cant seem to get it to work. the ballast will power an aftermarket hid bulb, so it's not polarity issues.

here's a pic of the factory igniter, can anyone identify the wire colors and give me insight on what/how to tap. i know i should buy a whole kit and do both at same time, but money is tight and i already just got a ticket for tint/exhaust so i need to get a working light asap in the meantime. wire colors are red/green/yellow. i've done various combinations but i have yet to get the factory igniter to work.

Hey Peewizzle, perhaps trying all the various combinations ......has caused other additional problems ?
Unsure, but possible !

I'd try to locate an "oem" ballast, ignitor & bulb at your local wrecking yard.
May be quicker and easier, IMO.

how would you connect that igniter to the ballast???

you need the proper connector for it, if anything go get some HIDs from ddmtuning.

well i have extra aftermarket ballasts laying around. i was hoping to other day to somehow wire up the factory igniter to the aftermarket ballast, but i couldn't figure out which wires or what.

right now i just have the aftermarket ballast with a 9006 bulb in my low beam housing lol until i get aftermarket igniters i ordered below.

i was really just hoping until then to somehow use my d2s bulb not this crappy 9006...right now it looks like someone punched out my babys right eye because it's dimmer haha

Now we have a new option......the "retro-fit" to standard bulbs !

There have been folks who don't care for our HID headlamps, so here ya go.

If OP is having problem with HID and can't seem to fix the problem, or cost is an issue, it is not a bad idea to go with 9006. 9006 is ways cheaper to be blown out for sure vs HID.
