Purchased a 2003 TL-P....
I bought it Wednesday evening. I will be picking it up tonight after work. I'm so excited. I'm glad that I found this site before I purchased this vehicle. Thank you folks for all your knowledge and advice.

ElegantTL.....I will post pics as soon as I can.
What type of soap and what type of sponge or cloth do you guys use to wash and dry your cars. I want to try to keep the dreaded "swirl" marks to a minimum.

Buy a nice wash mitt (Meguires, etc), do NOT use a sponge. Buy a soap made specifically for cars in the auto section, one WITHOUT any wax/polish additive.
If you don't want swirl marks, don't dry your car, or blow dry it with an electric leaf blower. There's a lot of pro's and con's between towels, shami's and other wonder towels... You'll be fine if you get real nice large 100% cotton bath towels. Sprits them with water slighly before the initial wipe.
Never wash or dry your towels or mitts with FABRIC SOFTENER; the silica in it that adheres to the fabric will scratch your car.
That's my 2 cents.

I know that feeling mr polo I had it 2yrs ago when I picked up my 2000 TL. Get you a good carwash mitt & some Meguiars Gold Class Wash Shampoo & Conditioner.this is a good one to start off with then you might wan't to try the Zaino or other mail order stuff. To dry it you can get the micro fiber towels 100% American Made cotton bath towels do not get any bag of rags that they sell. If you get micro fiber towels do not wash them with any other towels & do not use fabric softer.
Congrats Mr. Polo, may you have many enjoyable years with your new whip!
Too bad I have to wait another month until mine comes in.
Did you order yours? If not, how many other '03's were on the lot? I'm thinking that if there were quite a few, that mine should be in rather soon.
Anyways, mucho congrats!

Congrats!! Nothing but a mitt and Meguiars Show Car Glaze (Brown bottle), and Meguiar's Medallion for my cars.
Meguiar's Gold Class is what you'll find in the stores. I have only been able to get the Show Car Glaze and Medallion by buying direct from Meguiars from their website.

I finally got my new ride at home. I'll be glad when the "break-in" period is over. I had to keep it in cruise control on the interstate so that I wouldn't start speeding.
Severin, FTM-1, goaub, thanks for the recommendations. I'm going out to buy those items tomorrow.
JLmaxR1, I purchased it at Crown Acura in Greensboro. They gave me the best deal of all the local dealerships.
JPritch, most of the dealerships here in NC are loaded with the 2003's. You'll be hard pressed to find a 2002 at this point.
