Possible AC Problem(s)

Possible AC Problem(s)
So yesterday I'm waiting for the Post office worker to come back from her break so I can ship something out. Instead of me going back home, I just stayed in my car for 30 mins with the AC on. Obviously the car was parked but engine was running.
After about 15 minutes I notice the air coming out was getting warmer and warmer and I quickly looked at the Temp gauge and its about 3/4 of the way up and it kept rising. Normally the temp gauge is a little less than 1/2.
I turned the car off of course and waited outside.
By the time I got back to the car about 8 minutes later the temp gauge was fine.
I drove home with the A/C and the temp gauge stayed normal.
Today, I go to wendys drive thru and as I'm waiting, once again, I notice the Temp gauge started to go up. This time, I just turned off the A/C and I immediately noticed it was going back down until it reached its normal state.
Now that this is happening I noticed that the A/C isn't blowing as cold as it used to but I do hear the A/C motor turn on once I press the A/C button. I know it's sort of providing some cold air because when I turn off the A/C but leave the fan on it gets warmer.
What can this be? I was thinking maybe I should recharge it with Free-On?
Perhaps the A/C is trying to work overtime to compensate for the lack of Free-On? Should I pour Seafoam over the A/C compressor?
I have no clue about A/C systems.
PS. Yesterday and Today have reached 90 degrees outside or more.

ck the radiator fan on passenger side comes on with the ac On
if it doesnt that your problem,,needs sensor
if thats ok- you likely need a thermostat
dont keep driving it with the ac on- temp above half is bad news for the engine

Thanks. Would you have any more detailed information on this sensor?
I have a feeling that if it is a sensor that I need, once I go to autozone and describe what I need they won't know what I'm talking about.

The ac pressure switch on the receiver-drier tells the pcm to ground the control side of BOTH the condensor and the radiator fan relays. Try checking fuses 57 and 58. You can also try swapping relays. Both fans have to come on with the ac.

So today I turned on the AC, and passenger side fan wasn't on.
I move the blades ever so lightly with my hand and it started spinning but very very slowly, might of been moving from the air being made from the fan next to it.
I get home and check the hood and the fan is off.
I will try to check the fuses.

Can you give me more info on location of the relays your talking about?

I would try checking the ones that say Cooling fan and cooling fan relay lol. I am having the exact same issue as you and my Passenger fan isnt work either. I will check these same fuses/relays and then change the fan if need be.
Maybe even condenser fan and condenser fan real as well. never hurts to check them out!!!!!!!!!!!

I checked those fuses a while ago and they looked alright, I'm going to just buy some and replace them just to be sure. Next is to switch the relays and see what happens.

we have or i had the same issue. my passenger side fan wasnt spinning with the ac on. i touched and it started but was real weak and stopped soon after. i checked fuses and relays and they were good. i called acura and they want 300 for a new fan but i got one from a salvage yard for 100. i replaced it with one hand cause i broke my left wrist yesterday. now the fan is strong and cools when the ac is on. when u replace it there is a screw like the two at the top on the bottom. dont take it all the way out. just loosen it up. it was a "b" tryna line it up while putting the fan in. but its all good now. im good to go.

This is good information. I have been noticing lately that my ac fan has a slight moan to it when it turns on. That tells me that a bearing is slowly starting to go bad within the fan, but after 255,000 miles of heaving usage I can understand that happening. Basically I will need to keep a listen out for this, now that I know that symptoms of an inop fan.

Is there a difference between the two fans attached to the radiator?
Can I use a fan on the drivers side and put it on the passenger side? I'm not sure if the size or connectors are different.

I had the same problem with my 99 T.l...however my vents wouldn't open when i turned on the AC...They just blew out hot air cuz the motor wasn't working probably...cheapest and fastest solution would be to replace the freon and go under your dash board to make sure your vents are working... when you change the temperature from hot to cold you'll see the vents moving left and right..

No. the condensor and the radiator fans are of different dimensions. Im sorry if this was already posted but has anyone jump their fans with 12 volts? That could be the problem.

Yea they r differ.. the passenger side one is metal.. i found out the hard way.. i went and they gave me the wrong damn fan.. i had to take it back and get the metal one for the passenger.. driver side is plastic
