noise when turning the steering wheel

noise when turning the steering wheel

do you hear a light nosie when you turn the steering wheel left and right in quick succesion,wondering if that's normal,i brought my car to the mechanic and he found nothing wrong underneath the car.

is it some sort of whine if so it could be teh ball joints going bad!

nope the balljoints are all changed,it's a subtle "clunk"

outside and inside it's weird,but it feels like it's coming from undrneath the car.

I was gonna say maybe the tape reel in the steering wheel hub (if there is one in 2G)...but you wouldnt hear that outside the car....only inside...and right at the hub where the steering wheel connects.
