i dont know much about the lumar tint but if it is a metalized tint i would not do it. it can screw up your reception because your antenna is in your back window. also i would not tint the antenna in the top of the rear window. you should paint it. either paint the individual holes or spray it out.

sprayed out antenna i can do i DIY if you want it.

thanks man, yeah...i'd really appreciate some pix. What i'm really interested in is the top of the windows. I want the tint to run to the very top of the window so that when you roll it down, there is no gap....i scheduled an appt. for saturday....$180

i don't remember really well if it came up to the very top of the window,, but it was dam close... their tint is lazer cut.. i dropped it off @ 8 in the morning, walked over to the perkins and had a quick bite to eat and when i got back , the side windows were done and they were just finishing up the back window. i paid 180 and threw them the extra 20 as a tip.. check out Ryans car when you are there (he is the taller one) he has a pretty sick STI.. i will take pics of the gap at the top of the windows tonight... i will post them later when i get home..

well, my tip is to go to http://www.sunsationalglasstint.com/ a friend of mine had a tinting shop in Lancaster and the guys at this place taught him. I helped him tint my 3G and it came out great!!! He recommended this place to me before we got together and did mine. I have metallic tint and have no problems, except with AM ...

15% is pretty dark - watch the cops! I went lighter 35-40% and am happy with it. Things to look for in a shop, make sure they have a dust free room where they tint, make sure they tint the entire little window in the rear pass. windows and tell them if you want the brake light tinted or not. And if you check out there work, look at the back window where they join the two pieces of tint (most shops use 2) and see how good a job they did ... along with the dirt and air bubbles that get trapped - don't accept sloppy work.

My buddy tried to jam the tint using a tool without removing the door panels, but said most Acuras are too tight (closer tol.) so we removed the panels and I also took out the little windows in the rear. I was very happy with my tint job for only $100! ;-) helps to have friends who tinted.

Good luck and watch out for the cops and the lame ass tint laws they try to enforce - which really aren't laws!

here you are totalpakage....... i looked closely at the tint today..the back window is all one piece. there is about a 2-3 mm gap from the edge of the tint to the window edge.. i have 35% all around ... I wanted to go slightly darker but didn't want the hassle.. they didn't have to take my door panels off and they even got underneath the tiny window on the rear doors... here are some pics...
