O2 Simulator for high flow cat

If anyone got a high flow after market cat and gets a Check Engine Light once in a while with the code P0420, this little thing will resolved the problem. Is an O2 Simulator, I just install this on my TL and it works great.

you can also make your own.. 2 ways
spark plug non foulers (pulls sensor out of the exhause stream)

or

The concept the same except the wire colors differ. White on the CL/TL is the same as black on this pic. Green is the same as his grey. The white on his schematic are the same as the black in previous pic.

i got this info from here http://home.insightbb.com/~niedejb/

go to installs. i did this and it only costed me 4$ for all the parts. not sayin your way isnt easier which it is.. but this way saves you ~50$

The fastest ET I got is 12.43 I remember it was at 115 or 118 mph don't remember the speed. The ford probe GT is basically a Mazda MX6 FE2T engine, compression is too low 7.5:1 to make high HP. I need to change to higher compression piston to get more HP. This might be my next project depends on my budget.

Yup this will work, I found this in a google search also, but was a little worrie about frying my ECU. The O2 sensor send very low voltage between 0volt and 2volt to the ECU, if I messed up with the circuit and send 12 volt out to the ECU I might end up frying my ECU. Just want to be on the safe side I decided to buy one, ECU is a lot more expensive then the 02 simulator.

it will only send as much as its receiving.. it only uses the extra voltage for the heater circuit, which is seperate from the signal circuit. i used the diagram above to make mine and never had a problem with it. i just lost more bottom end than i gained at the top so i took off the test pipe. with the test pipe i ran a 16 flat @91 mph in the 1360. w/o test pipe 15.2@89.. i did remove all my speakers out of the trunk for the second time i went to the track. but that didnt make up for almost an entire second.

I'm running that same o2 sim on my turbo TL. I'm not running a cat and don't get a CEL because of it. It does it's job. Good luck.

Where did you install the PC board? Did you install the PC board under the car or inside the engine compartment?.

i made a capsule out of a shock sensor body. then i took hot glue and sealed up all the holes. and padded the board inside with foam from a tool box. made me feel smart for a minute.
