fsttyms1, have you tried sitting in the 7th gen accord seats?

when I sat in my brothers 06 sedan v6, it feels like it has more side bolsters than what i had in the 2G and in the 3rd gen.

maybe it'll fit. haha

I want something with more than that too. I'm looking at some corbeau seats. Either the a4 or lg1 I think they were? I want something with thigh, side and shoulder for track days yet I can sit in daily . I'd love to get a set of the new cooled 4gtl seats though. I like the ability to cool over heat. Especially when spending 8 plus hours a day in the car

hmm. looks like it lacks a bit of thigh bolsters, but my choice would probably be the A4 out of those... maybe you meant the CR1? what about some evo x seats? haha.

Yea know the 4g seats arent high on the bolsters but the cooling part makes up for it.

Yes the cr1 in either suede or leather.

Hmmm... Hope it goes smoothly.

I hate that you don't dyno test before and after. Especially with the more unique mods. It would be very interesting to see the gains of this.

It will go smoothly (as soon as i get the last piece of aluminum i need for the throttle body)

I would dyno BUT

A. there isnt one near by
B. it isnt going on this motor (its going on my 3.5 im building) i may bolt it on my current motor and see what the butt dyno says and work out any kinks?
C. i have yet to buy anything to help tune the motor

Are you going to fab an adapter plate so the TB can bolt on and off or just weld the sucker on there?

Looks awesome just finished reading through the entire thread. Apparently I should have started at like page 11 or something like that though.

I hate that Acura puts these together like that rather than using screws. I really want to have the inserts done on my TSX but don't want to drill out the plastic rivets. I assume you looked into it and you can't buy new plastic rivets?

I have been thinking of doing cooled seats with my Recaro seats since I have the Sportlines which come with the option for cooling. There is a location on them that looks like a mounting place for a mini fan kind like an 80 or 90mm computer case fan almost. I am thinking of directing the rear seat A/C duct up at the bottom of the seat and installing a PC case fan on the bottom and connecting the controls to the old heated seat controls. Not sure if I could make use of it being a high low setup at all but still would be pretty neat. Only problem is their would be no way to turn it off completely lol.

Lol, yea the first couple didnt lead anywhere.

No, you cant buy them. They are a molded part of the panel. Drilling the heads off and refastening them with epoxy isnt hard. Dont let it discourage you.

Yea cooled seats are nice. I like the acura seats. They actually Pull air away from you instead of pushing. It worked extremely well.

That sucks you can't buy them. Wonder if I could use tiny screws instead afterwards. Need to get it road worthy first anyways.

That is an interesting concept for the seats. I wonder if that is maybe the intentions of the fan mount on the bottom of my Recaro seats as well. That would make more sense but I don't know how I would have a powerful enough pull from just an 80 or 90mm fan.

no there usually isnt enough to screw into. Once melted to create the rivet there isnt enough material on the door panel to screw to. epoxy works well and is easy.
