No modding the TL unfortunately...we're going to leave it stock. We put an injen intake on it and it made an annoying "humming/drone" sound at idle so we got rid of it. The Si gets mods though, haha. couple pics of the Si...

Clean TL. Yeah you need to get the Comptech Icebox if you want a quiet intake. It's a CAI but as quiet as stock and looks stock too.

remove the lower intake resonator box - all the air goes thru it before reaching the stock airbox- pull that off and 2 large holes into the airbox are revelaed
Now you get outside air into a large stoage cavity- the engine can draw what it wants~
And no worries like low slung units about getting water in them

Yea quick rundown on the intake....

we ran it with the air silencer off (weird drone at idle).
purchased CAI.....same thing. Car sounded great while driving but the idle drone was awful.

I've owned many hondas modded and stock. Ive never heard the drone like that so we put it back to stock.

Nice cars. Both have great potential. Did you reflash the SI yet? I had an 05 RSX-S and when reflashed it was a totally different car. Loved it.

I agree, intake on our cars sucks. So I heard comptech is the only way to go but its not cheap at all.

yes me and my wife hit it on the highway and i pulled half a car.

from a dig i think the TL-S > Si but highway i walked her. Very close accelerating cars though.

If acura would have put a 6spd in the TL (see CL-S) it would give the TL the edge. slushbox FTL.
