when my car is at idle, the car shakes. like the car isn't getting enough gas or something. anyone else with this problem?

 

i have the same problem

 

dirty injectors? bad gas? dirty throttle body? could be a number of things.

 

can the injectors be cleaned without going to the dealer?

 

yes they can be cleaned...i have 56k, and i had mine cleaned about 2 weeks ago...........just look for a shop that does injector cleaning in yur area!

 

i put in the best gas. injectors? can this be covered under warranty?

 

First, look at your tach, how many RPMs have you got? And does the needle shake? You may have a bad spark plug, or ignition mogule, or something else causing 1 cylinder not to work.... Most likely covered under warranty

 

can you drive without 1 cylinder working? :wow:

 

Im getting the BG treatment at the dealer later this week... it cleans out the exaust, intake manafold, injectors, and fuel system.... $100 at the dealer... but you cant do it yourself...

 

are puting in 91 octane gas? 87 octane give me the 'shivers' when idling

 

well, brought my car to the dealer. the service manager took it for a drive. only when the car is in PARK, it starts to shake. i'll let you know what happens. he says its most likely dirty injectors cos when a cyliner misfires, a check engine light will usually come on. you know i checked my past service records and ive been the dealer every single month for the past 8 months to have something fixed.

You could also have him check:

1) Idle boost controller
2) Engine mount. One of them could be damaged

ok they said i need to flush out the fuel injection($100) and tighten the valves($345)!! i was like heck no! so they are checking to see if these things can be covered under warranty. i swear i had a 1998 honda accord(100K miles) before this and never did i have any problems of these kind.

i have 59K on my car. is this normal?

ok its certain now. theres a valve misfire. they said its gonna cost $345. is this just a wear and tear problem? or is it an engine defect?
