Making All windows close when locking the car.

this is def. doable...

Now who can tell me what I need to make my windows all close automatically when I lock the car? I've seen it done on thel beat up buicks and other crappy rides. (if u have a buick, I apologize)

Or, how can I make that the windows close while i just tap the button, like in all the new cars, like BMWs (without getting a new car )

I'm doing my research, and I am anticipating some research from you guys as well

THANX and peaceeeeeeeeeee.

i have it on my 03 TL... but you have to get an after market alarm with an extra output or whatever.. and then get the DEI 529 (controls windows up only) or the DEI 530 (allows window roll up and down) module.

Well thats why I was talking about the 2nd option.

I am talking about just tapping the button for each window ,and it will close windows by itself, like in
the BMWs...and this is nothing to do with an alarm....suggestions?

I dont have 600 bills to install Viper ( i wouldnt install any other alarm, only the best)...so this 2nd option sounds good to me.

it would need a computer of some sorts to control it. getting the modules and installing it your self would be cheaper. but there arent any good easy ways to do it with out

and yes, i would install it myself.

my old car

my old car was an audi a4. and through vag the computer diognostic program you could do alot to the car. and rolling the windows up and down by holding lock and unlock was definatly one of those things. i am sure that the hondas don;t have this i think the only way possible to do this is after market. u may not have to install a new alarm. you will probably have to disable it some what. good luck and let us know what happens

I'm not familiar with the 2G TLs, only the 3G. Do they not have the auto-up feature like the 3Gs do? Or are you talking about a single button for all 4 windows?

If they don't have the auto-up, you could maybe check into whether or not you could install a 3G window control module into a 2G car.

If you're talking about a single button for all, you could maybe look into how the separate window buttons are wired, and just combine them together. I.e. if the switches apply power to the window motors directly, you could just have 1 switch which supplies power to all 4 at once. (I'm just guessing on this one. I have no clue how complicated power window controls are.)

if you want to convert your standard window switches to auto up AND down isn't it just a changing of the switch(s)?

I would say so too. If you set the factory alarm with the remote a normal the windows rolling up would create a voltage drop (electricity being used somewhere) and trip the alarm.

is funny reading some of the replys people made on how to do this, but i am pretty sure the cheapest, easiest way to do it is add the window module. you don't have to add a aftermarket alarm in order to get the module to work. and honestly for people that are not too familar with car's electrical system, i highly suggest people seek help from the professional instead trying figure out a diy.

There's nothing more fun than shorting something important.

Just a DEI 530T module and use it for all 4 windows in one direction. HEY if you can et these parts cheap let me know, i have been trying to get these parts forever but just are too much $$$$

If you want up and down, you need double the # of modules. 1 module can do 2 windows up and down OR 4 windows 1 way.

I need like 2 or 4.

Thanks!!!

OH btw, you can have one-touch on the control on ALL windows with these modules on the driver side door. An added feature.

"...ALSO automates factory power switches by providing full window travel by tapping the factory window switch."

i think those dei window modules will work without an alarm. it's just that if you have an alarm, you are able to remotely activate window closure/opening/venting. i believe the 529 is not auto up or down nor venting, so you would have to get the 530 for this purpose. this means two 530 modules for 4 windows. but you are not out of the woods yet. normally, the modules are wired at the driver door so only this control panel has the auto features! no auto anything at the pass doors unless you rig it up to work with these doors as well (i think). talk to an alarm shop and they should be able to tell you. i bet you can email a directed tech and find out too.

I have 2 530t's that I haven't installed yet. Not sure if I want to go through the trouble. I may sell them. If I do, I'm looking for around $120 for both.
