It's Raining In My Car!!!

Hi I'm new here. I just purchased a 2003 TL-S w/nav. I traded in my 2000 INFINITI Q45t with 203000 miles! The Q was awsome and still in mint condition but with the miles it was time for a change. I love the TL, but the sunroof started leaking. Let me rephrase that...It started raining in my car. The amount of water coming in the car when it rains is rediculous! The dealer had the drain holes cleaned out and that has not solved the problem. I haven't found a thread about this being a common problem. Any suggestions anyone? I find this very frustrating since my car has only 67000 miles on it and the car I just traded in with 203K had no problems (or leaks!)

Well first of all it's not a commin problem, I've never ever heard of the roof leaking, there has to be holes somewhere that you cant see, check the linings on the roof.

and how do you trade a car with 203K miles in, I thought dealers dont take them? how much they give you for it?

I actually got $6000 for it. Infinitis hold their value very well. The trade-in book on a 2000 Q45t with 203K is still $8700. I'm sure the dealer had a lot of play room on the ACURA in order for them to take my trade too...

Hmmm...No holes around the sunroof. Maybe the seal around the glass is ummm not...sealed? I'm calling the dealership first thing in the morning. I'll let you all know how I make out.

This is not a common problem at all. I havent even heard of any one with it yet. I would look at the rubber seal around the moon roof. some how its getting in, and it must not be sealing correctly.

Believe it or not a 2000 INFINITI Q45t with 203000 miles on it retails for $13600 and fair market value is $8700. No moron would pay that, but it gave me some pull when I was trading it in. Some might say that I didn't get enough for it.

Thanks for the info...I thought it might be the rubber seal around the glass. I'm calling the dealership tomorrow so they can fix it.
