Introducing myself...

Good afternoon fellow members, I would like to take this time to introduce my self to the rest of the board. My name is Ronie (ron-e) and I just purchased a 03 WDP Type-S w/ Blk Leather and 33k on the counter.
I drove her a total of 56.7 miles so far. I've trolled this message board for about 1 week now and been reading everything I can get my eyes on about the car.. and I feel that I made a sound investment.
I'm not new to Fourms nor am I new to "imports" or "preformance". I love cars in general and love to talk cars. I've been in the scene since 1990 and siffted through 25 cars if not more. I'm a big Rotary fan, and was once a 50% partner in a Prformance Shop located in Queens NY. (Extreme Preformance).

My plans for the TL...
OEM Aero Kit.
Mugen or A Spec Trunk Spoiler.
A quality set of springs and shocks to delete the wheel gap.
Inspire or Saber OEM headlights.
OEM Window Visor.
OEM Sunroof Visor.
Roof Spoiler.
Once these parts are found and installed I'll move on to the preformance aspect of the sickness.
__________________________________________________ _______________

I found a thread with a link to a acura site that sells the oem kit which I read, comes color matched being that it's an OEM product. (800-900 bucks).
Where else, besides e-bay and the black market section would one look for a used or new OEM lip kit?
I'm already bidding on a OEM A Spec Spoiler but.. would prefer a Mugen 3 Piece one. I looked on King Motorsports website.. following a lead I got from one of the posts on here.. but couldn't find it on their site.
I found the OEM Window Visors and Inspire OEM headlights on ebay as well.
Anyways.. I'm running late.. 4:30.. and it time for me to go home.

Welcome to the forum!

AS for your questions.

The OEM kit your best bet is either in the black market, ebay, local salvage yards or new from Ray laks.

The wing is going to be very hard to come by. Mugen no longer makes it and its very pricey when you see one for sale. I believe one of our vendors (Heeltoe?) had or could get the Inspire/A-spec spoiler. May want to check with him.

Welcome to the forum. That is surely a low mileage car for 03.

It's raining outside but the drive home was pleasant.. though, I keep having to adjust the seat every time. I've also noticed some cool little things like the mirror that tilts downwards when reverse is selected . I also found radio control on the steering wheels .
fsttyms1, acutee, 911tl... thanks for the welcome!
You can bet on me checking out the Black Market section hourly. -lafz. but I'm serious.
fsttyms1, what's pricey? 200? 300 bucks? Heal Toe's site is on the list...I'm all over it.
acutee, thats again and yes 33,7xx is a pretty good score uh? I bet you don't see WDP Type-S with black interior's too often either? No navi.. that would have been the trump card.
I'm off to show my girlfriend and mother of 1 of my 3 daughters the new ride. I'll check back later.
Oh.. and I'll try to snap a few pics.

Welcome, and great color choice! I have a WDP, but unfortunately with the Parchment (tan) interior, not Ebony. If you don't mind me asking, how much $ did the car set you back?

AMGala, the parchment interior is great looking, not contrasting enough for me on the lighter exteriors though. I paid 20 thousand after tax and all the other misc. fees. I still think it was a good deal.. and wasn't willing to let the combination go. I searched for over 2 months in every nook and crannies for this color combo but this was the only one I could find with 3 of the 4 features I was looking for in this particular model. I might even consider letting the dealer install the navi if passion runs deep enough.
03TLS4me, the silver with the ebony interior!
This is my 2nd Acura/Honda. My 1st, is a rare 93 Acura GS-R. I've spent nearly as much modifying it as I paid for the TL-S. I've recently destroyed the highly modified original B17A1 motor so the "all numbers matching status" points are gone. So I'll either part it out.. because it's actually worth more in pieces than as a heartless shell. Or, dish out the 5 grand for a complete 98+spec ITR swap. 9000RPMs of Honda factory performance. I'll have to wait and see, I'm in no hurry.

Welcome. Nice choice with the car.

Sounds like a good list of mods. Gonna cost you some coin but it'll be worth it in the end.

I love that color combo. It is indeed very rare. But not as rare as that 2nd gen Integra you have there. I was a huge Integra nut. I had 2 DC4's a, a DB8 and DC2. I was a 3rd gen fan, and even picked up a 05 DC5 Type S before I decided to grow up a lil bit and get my TL Type S. I went with SSM. I wish I could of found the white/ebony/navi but I couldnt wait that long. lol Welcome to the forums and I'll see ya around. I'm out on Long Island. (Suffolk County)

ryebreadisme, thanks for the welcome.. but are you saying that the Mugen or A-Spec spoilers are being sold for $1,000+. Wow..impressive...they must be super rare, sorta like some 16" Mugen M7's in 4x100 with a +38 offset uh? I guess I'll have to play the wait, search game.. of which my skills rival Bruce Lee Roy. -lafz.
NauTiC*, I'm a picture whore..give me a few days.
ChrisQ1980, you've made my day just knowing about the DB2. I wasn't expecting that from this board. check her out
Did you keep any of your integras? Those were some nice cars!
Same here with the "growing up thing" My family keeps telling me to give up the Integra because of all the money invested and all the tickets it I've gotten for being in the "import scene". I never really got tickets till I got the Integra. It seems like it's aticket magnet. However.. 9500rpm is addictive.

Welcome Ronie, it will be difficult finding the spoilers you mentioned but keeping an out you never know what may fall in your lap. Good luck with the ride, this by far has been my favorite car I ever owned and love modding it as much as I can possibly can.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I've been forced to post these quick crappy pics due to getting smacked in the face with a very healthy looking tomato.
As you can see she is tucked away nicely in the garage... I'm out sick today
I can't believe how hard it is to find a OEM lip kit! And after some more pic hunting I've come to like the wings west trunk lip even more as well as the rear lip.. As far as the roof spoiler goes...Question, is Sarona THE brand of choice? Are they the a quality manufacture?

Hey Ronnie, Sarona is not the brand of choice for bodykits , the thing is hideous. Its a good roof spoiler though.

Phrosttz0, I agree
Studio, who are you??!! how do you know about my passion for rotaries? 35% all around.
007TL-S, the 98+ spec type R one of the best engine/chassis combo ever produced.
CL Platano, are you Dominican? My best friend Ralfy.. is a platano. I'm going get the Sarona roof spoiler.. later on.
NauTiC*, yea man.. Miami Acura...56 miles from where I live. Nope!...those fuquerz were being stingy. I paid 20 grand.. with tax and tags. I didn't feel like haggaling with them after all the time I spent looking for a WDP Type-S w/ebony interior.
Anways guys.. I'm guna hit teh net and try to find an oem lip kit by the end of the day. Wish me luck!

so far.. this is what I've found.

I wonder of this visor would fit our TL?.. it could be color matched or sported as is.
Even the trunk spoiler is nice.

JDM 96-98 Inspire 2.5 3.2 TL UA2 OEM LED Wing Spoiler. Would these fit the 2nd gen TLs?

This listing states that it's for a 99-01 Acura TL.. did they make a mistake with the listing or the 02-03 TL side skirts differ?

dreem1er, thanks for the reply. I'm glad there is no difference between the years on the side skirts. I guess the other set are mine. How much, if you don't mind me asking, did you get your set for and in which color?
lookey what I got just now!
