I need some help/opinions

So Im On The Parkway, Take exit 153 or 154 for clifton, then my TCS and Check Engine Light come on, of course I couldnt press the TCS button to turn the light back off. I turned the car off then back on and the TCS light was off but I could press the button to turn it on and off as I pleased. I went to Strauss to see if they could check the codes but they charge 85 which is wackk...Today is really warm out..first time in a while so idk it could be the heat fuckin with the sensors. What could be it? where can I go to check the Codes? Hopefully its not tranny cause im screwed. Maybe one of you fellow TL'rs has the code machine thingy and could help me out..would be appreciated. Thanks!

Normally when it's the tranny the D5 light blinks...At least mine did. Good luck.

Btw, advanced auto parts checks codes for free I think?

Takes under 2 hours in total. Remove manifold- clean everything- reinstall- enjoy

All you need is simple tools and carb cleaner. Follow the DIY in the DIY thread and it will go easy.

you will be fine- just take pics of assembled parts in case~
read the DIY a few times- go look under your hood- remove top cover- go read DIY again- feel safer- now proceed

take your own set of digital pics with all the wires and hoses tagged with masking tape and a letter or number or alien symbolgy of your choosing -
so YOU can make sure 2 similar connectors are back on correct places and coolant lines are not run to VAC port- it has happened more than once!! Makes car run baddddd
Clean EGR makes car run gooooood

no
just the carb cleaner and the basic tools listed in the DIY, omit the part where you install a Thermoblock spacer-
and dont take the studs out of the TB to put longer ones in!!

Just clean the egr ports that look like exhaust crud is plugging them

iirc the 6 are the egr ports, plus you want to spray out the intake runners and manifold as a whole

Do I spray the stuff in that EGR Port Too?

Or Just In Here

Also Why do I have to take these three things out...so the liquids could escape?

read the DIY- it tells all- and yes to let cleaner and crud out you remove the end plates
The egr ports are specific- dont randomly spray and hope!
