If you want it done right... do it yourself with Zaino. If you have somebody you trust (which it sounds like you don't) buy zaino and have them apply it for you. Whatever "Fred's" detailing shop will apply in a frenzy cannot possibly measure up to zaino's "Showroom" look, unless they know about zaino and know how to use it.

Trust us... Zaino is worth it... if done right.

Here is a mobile detailer in Southern California

http://aas-detail.com/

I found them on the Autopia Carcare forum.

make sure you clay bar your car before you

use a wax or poililsh it will remove all the crap off your paint. And make sure yo get a lubricant (meguiers quick detailer or Griot's speed shine work well) too. Your paint will feel brand new smooth. Then wax it or Zaino it and you will be very happy.

I do car detailing but not around you. I would go with a clay to remove all top cotaminants. Then I would use a paint cleaner then polish then show car glaze then wax. If you go to meguiars.com they have a thing to fill out called car prescription and that will give you an idea of what needs to be done.

I am in the "do it yourself" column. I am a busy professional (work 10-12 hours/day) and yet have found the spare time to Zaino my car. If I can find the time, you can too. The hardest work is the twice a year I do the car (2nd time coming up shortly)--the maintenence is a breeze as long as you are using Zaino's car wash compound, just washed my car tonight and it took me about 15 minutes, including using a sqeegee to dry the car.

Don't pay someone else to do it!

As far as I know it's still only available through mail order directly from www.zainobros.com

They are very reputable... It takes about a week for delivery because they use UPS ground. But they provide GREAT customer service, as well as GREAT products.

Iggy,
Does the Red, White & Blue chick come with the order? I would pay extra to watch the application and polish being buffed
