check your ABS sensors by the wheels.

go to a parts store (except Ca residents) ask for a code reading,,its free!
The lights can mean 1000+ things, and not only brake issues

to get rid of the lights: get the codes, report back here, we help diagnose- you buy parts and fix~
then reset ECU system by pulling the clock fuse for 1 minute- so it relearns

Do not ignore these!!
What repairs were done to the car last/recently
What was it doing right before these lights?

brake warning light is usually the fluid level sensor inside master cyl cap- test for movement and flip upside down to test shutoff
It can mean way low brakes, the fluid goes in to fill the calipers to push farther than normal,,level goes down in master cyl res, level sensor trips light.
Remove filter screen in master cyl res and inspect fluid- nearly clear is good
full level is halfway up the neck

the lights will have codes stored in the cars computer- parts stores plug in a device and get those codes..we diagnose from there, codes are clues not diagnosis in themself.
Only takes a minute and they do it free

could be a wheel speed sensor failure, bad wire in a sensor, or too many things to guess
Go get the codes read, inspect the brake pad wear

On our car if they read it it will pull the info.
Go back and just ask to read the codes from the OBDII port.

Those lights came on for me when my ABS pump failed. It could be wheel speed sensors or something else cheaper, but just sayin'...

you need to go back to the parts store- a different person or different store

Dont say a word about what lights are on!!
Simply ask- `May I get a code reading please`..they plug in the reader, either in front of shifter- small panel pops out by seat heat buttons
or under driver left knee,, depending on year
they will tell you the codes or give a printout example P0400
of what codes came up,,, and what they mean
remember codes are clues not actual diagnosis--sometimes you have to read between the lines to get the right answer

if you get wheel speed sensor codes- then go looking for that!
the system will give up those codes to the regular scanner

If still lost after that, a brake specialty shop will have the right scanner to access the ABS system - if there is a problem in there,,Thats not very often

this just happened to my wife a couple of hours ago. The car just would not turn on with both ABS and VSA lights on. The good news the problem is fixed now. All you need to do is first if your car is somewhat pretty new like mine a 2009 TL make sure you have a new battery in your car key remote; it could not be sending a strong enough signal to the computer system. Second, if the key remote battery is replaced and no change in problems check the voltage of the battery of the car; make sure everything is how it should be...correct voltage, secure connections, water in the battery compartment, etc. If the car does not start give it a boost jump not from another car but a boost jump or get a new battery. This should fix your problems on newer models. This should be the first step if your car is a older model and does not have a key less remote. Finally, Older cars clean or replace your ABS sensor as it gets corroded. Hope this helps!

ABS and VSA on continually

My 2006 TSX has the ABS and VSA lights on continually . Had Auto Zone, husband and another mechanic hook up code reader and it showed nothing. They only check for engine codes. Finally took it to a shop with Acura equipment. Cost $50.00 for them to tell me it's my right wheel speed sensor. I guess it was worth it because my husband can fix that. He took the wheel off and cleaned the sensor. He said it was filthy and lights are still on. ABS seems to be working. Don't know about the VSA. Does anyone know how to get the codes to go off? I don't want to pay another $200.00 to get someone to reset the code if my husband fixed it. Will it go off I put a new sensor on or will I still have to take it some where to get the code reset?

We can't advise you if we don't know what the car is trying to tell you.

It might be that cleaning the sensor fixed something, and now you have another code.

You may have a connector loose, or a bearing installed incorrectly, bad ABS module, wiring problem, could be a lot of things...

But until we have the codes and descriptions, we won't be able to help you. Though if you want to throw thousands of dollars at the car hoping to fix it, that's a different story. Codes help us a lot.

You may try calling brake shops in your area to see if they can read your codes. (Might be cheaper).

hahaha Mine are ON becouse my Main Wheel Bearing is Damaged just read out the Repair Manual if you Have some Grinding Noises and Clunk Sounds when Turning your Bearing is F/%$!

The Bearing being damaged turn the wheel at a Slower Speed making the ABS Sensor detecting this turning all those Little Lights On BUT Not the MIL or Check Engine Light! So an OBDII Reader cannot detect those Codes (At Least not my 125bucks One) only a Honda PGM Tester can Read ABS Codes.

Here is Some Info from the Repair Manual (56K BEWARE):

and DTCs Codes if you Got an OBDII Reader to Detect them:

Size: 150.0 KB
As you Can see there Are MANY Reasons why you can Have a Light Festival in your Dashboard, In my Case is that the Wheel Bearing is Brutally Damaged. Happily changing it is quite un-expensive...

You can Reset those Lights (WHEN YOU REPAIRED THE PROBLEM) By:
1.- Letting the ABS/VSA CPU detect that the system is Back To Normal they Will turn Off Eventually.
2.- Disconnecting Negative Battery terminal for 5 minutes to Clear ECU/VSA Codes, BUT If the problem Remains you will have them Back ON in no Time.

Hope that Helps.

Pretty much all idiot lights have been on since I got the car at 66k. Now 132k. I can reset the maint req light but holding the vsa button for 20+ seconds wont reset it. Did a brake job with ebay chinese rotors and "ceramic" pads about a year ago.. These no name pads make more brake dust than organic pads. So much garbage out there. Steering wheel wants to shake out of my hands for a couple months now. Got new wagner rotors made in usa and partsmaster ceramic pads for $100 shipped but it was the last avail. Will def buy a couple cans of brake cleaner and clean the sensors. I got an ABS module (yes that light is on) from a local boneyard for $85 with a 90 day warranty. The donor car was a 2002 tl type s with 148k on the windshield .Made a mistake an pulled a base model non type s and its different. Needed a spare tire and after grabbing their battery pack the same car had an unused spare with nice looking rubber no rust on the wheel. I put air in mine about 8 months ago. It must have blown out from a bubble thru the thread when the car was parked. I checked it a couple weeks ago and the bottom of the trunk had alot of small rubber in it. Guy at the yard hooked me up with both items $85+ tax.100 degree heat index no breeze. Stay hydrated.
