Go on ebay and get the right bulb. This happened to my old lexus before the hid bulb fully burned out. I give you 2 weeks before the bulb fully burns out.

As mentioned above, your bulb is failing. The same thing happened to one of mine.

Unless your "good" bulb was installed recently, you'll want to replace both bulbs at the same time. The bulbs change color over time and if you just replace one bulb it could make for a mis-matched set.

Check ebay out for good deals on bulbs. You'll want to search for 4300K D2R bulbs. I bought a pair of brand new 4300K Philips D2R bulbs for $68.49 on eBay.

Search the forum to find installation instructions.

The 6000K ones look bluer, but produce less useable light. (You'll only be happy when you're looking AT them, not when you're seeing WITH them.)

normally the 4300 are the best choice in replacement

vendor Excelerate also has Kaixen bulbs which rock! pricey... but like brakes- designed to do something important

yes, please stick with stock 4300k rating. There's a reason why the come stock like that. Yeah, don't worry about pay 300 bucks to fix this problem. Although the dealer might do that to you if you took it to them to get it fixed. It'll run you around 65 to 70 bucks from ebay for a pair of bulbs. Good luck!

What are the advantages with a 4300 bulb over a normal 3 dollar bulb?

We have HID's Not halogens, Halogens WONT work. You have to buy the HIDs. The advantages are Much better/whiter more usable light, longer lasting.

Xenon gas from a far away planet fills our headlights inner chamber
Someone has to pay for NASA gas- its us!

And some cars are even more expensive

The Kaixen bulbs from excelerate have a 6000 rating but the color and output is better than OE-- I think they run a different special gas

It's amazing that I am still on my original bulbs at 184,000 miles. I've been having this itch to replace them, as they do not put off the white look as they did when new. They almost look like a regular halogen from the driver's seat, but still have a bit of white/slight yellow look to them when looking directly at them. They just refuse to die!! LOL!

I've got 12,000k and needless to say, I regret it. I mean they look cool but you can't see anything at night. Not a single thing at all.
