Are fluids replacement covered under waqrranty

The dealer recommends that I get the transmission fluid replaced - the car has 42,000 miles on it and is still under factory warranty - by the way the recall kit was installed yesterday for the lubrication of the secondary gear but I was wondering if the transmission fluid should have been changed as a part of that and upon asking I was told no there is no need to change the transmission fluid just because the kit was installed.

Are the brake pads covered under warranty or since being a wear item they aren't.
Please advise.

no, it is not under warranty. if the recall kit was installed...then they should've changed the fluid free of charge as part of the service.

Yes they installed the kit and I asked them to do the transmission fluid replaced free and they said no - should I insist on that - since they installed the kit shouldn't they have done the tr fluid

no, they dont change the fluid under this recall. all they do is open up the filler hole inspect teh gear, then install teh jet kit/ no fluid is changed unless you specify at teh time of bringing it in that you want a flush, and odds are you will have to pay for the flush
