Do a Odyssey, Pilot, or MDX block with a pair of TL-S heads.

3.5L block with type-s cams, heads, throttle body, custom pistons (needed) and reinforced rods.. you can do more like port and polish and valve job too.. would be a killer setup! that's what im lookin to do when i have enough $$$$$.

H22 in a CL is pretty ridiculous considering the weight of a CL.

But at least both are front engine transverse, front wheel drive.

NSX is midmounted rear drive. I don't think it is possible with a reasonable amount of money and time.

the old cl had a 4 cyl in it

and the nsx engine is mounted the same way in the rear of the nsx as the TL engine is in the front

Very interesting! Didn't know that. So assuming someone goes ahead and installs a NSX engine in the TL...what kind of gains/performance can we expect?

even if is 16 or not.. its a pretty good question. it would be sick to see a TL rockin an NSX engine.. what about the new RL engine? would that be possible?? that's also a 3.5.. hmm. i dont know if you could afford an engine swap, why not just get the comptech supercharger, header, and exhaust? wouldnt that be a gain enough?

Well, while we're at it, would it be possible to swap a small block V8 into a TL? The FI the V8.

Buy a different car! Or get a SC and mod to the max, if you got the dough, the 3.2 can put out some serious HP with the right mods. Get bigger headers, SC, icebox, new pulleys, catback exhaust and a bigger throttle body. That will put you far over 300hp and if you want more speed, get a carbon fiber hood and side panels. That will cut 100lbs or more off body weight. Then get 18" light weight rims and lower car to allow it to handle the extra HP better or you will have some very dangerous torque steer issues!

a CT transmission cooler also might be a good idea if you go with the S/C. Also, excuse me if I'm mistaken but isn't the S/C only available for 02-03 type S?

as for the rl motor it is teh same block as the (well baisicly) the same. you can turn the 3.2 into a 3.5 relativly easy. some have already done the 3.5 conversion!

So just because he is 16 means he hasn't considered paying for something? Oh I forgot intelligence only comes with age, excuse me. I can't wait till i'm old enough to become smart. BTW I'm only 18 please feel free to judge me.

look, he has funds to buy something, why would you need to know where the money comes from??

imo, it's none of ur business. now if he wants to share the information, then fine.

Here's the issue with the NSX and RL (pre '05) blocks..

They are part of the C block family, a 90 degree design. Far too wide, wrong dimensions and incompatible transmissions with the 2nd gen TL.

Trust me, 1st gen 3.2 TL's have a C32 engine and i've looked up all this stuff and measured engine bays, checked out parts and trannies.

You're absolutely correct. What I actually meant to ask was, "How the hell can your parents spend so much money on the car?" Notice I said THE car, not YOUR car.

FWIW, when I was 16, I had a 10 speed - Bicycle that is.
