Yes to both. However, its also a bit boring to drive.

BUT... there are suspension kits that fix the body roll. I just wish the RL had the steering feel of the 1st gen TL's (which WOULD directly swap)

You're only getting 200 to a full tank? Something could be wrong there...I drive aggressive and I haven't gotten anything less than 250 to 13 gallons of it. You might want to get that looked at to save you some gas money.

It could be from winter gas blend, and also try filling your tank up at different gas stations to see if your car likes one type of gasoline more than another. If you have a stock airbox, you could add in a K&N filter...clean your throttle body, or it could also be an 02 sensor. I think you should keep track of the gas your car uses for about a month or two...gallons of gas you put in your tank, miles on each tank, and how much it costs you each time you fill up. That way you can bring it in to a Acura dealer or mechanic if you keep getting lower than normal gas mileage. They will know the exact mpg you are getting, and they could tell you if it could be a problem or not. You probably shouldn't be getting lower than 18 mpg.

Also you could try some fuel injector/fuel system treatment. It will get bad gas mileage on the tank that you add the treatment to, but after that it should improve.

y i dont do that and i get atleast what allie gets. my car spends ALOT of time in vtec and im always above 200. typical tanks for me are 300-350. in winter around 270-300 tops. in 164,000 miles i can probably count the amount of times my car has shifted before it got to 2500 rpm on both hands

Just an FYI. If you don't learn to speak proper English, you will be making close to minimum wage the rest of your life.

Good luck with the ride in the meantime.

$1900 for alarm/tint/radar?

My tints were $200 (which is the MOST they should cost you, you should be able to get it done for less), radar was $400 (Valentine 1)... so your alarm set you back ~$1300?? Wow..

remove all seats except drivers
take out car jack
drive on with fuel tank 90% empty
remove all cd's and music, etc
remove 2 lugnuts on each rim
take a dump and wiz prior to driving
drive with all clothing and shoes removed and out of car

dayum. im 19 and i cant do that right now.. freakin college is stealing all my cash. i got a 99TL with only little cosmetic mods. (blinker bulbs, and all the other interior bulbs) but those were like less than 5 bucks a piece. axxis ultimate brake pads costed me 90 bucks front and rear shipped. bosch plugs got pricey, but still under 80. umm, i drive with really low revs so i get pretty good mpg. always get the same brand of gas since no other places are working for me. BP goes on forever, compared to a few other big name places. Texaco and shell seems to burn the fastest. my next few mods are aem cold air, rotara brake rotors, and neuspeed struts. Im mostly working on getting a nice handle on my car before performance. These mods are still under 800 dollars.

oyeah and my 99TL with 58k miles on it was only 12k with no problems, clean record on carfax, no real engine problems so far (i put about 10k on it since i bought it), my trannies are still running smooth, interior and exterior nearly perfect. final price was around.. 13500? yeah i got a really nice deal on it. but the dealer was my dad's old college friend.

It's true that the NSX engine is midmounted transverse like.

But all of its fluids are piped in from the front. That's where the reservoirs are.

And the old CL is a lot lighter than the new thing.

I don't get the NSX engine into TL thing, the NSX engine is the same size and only produces a little more power. The beauty of the NSX is the whole package, and the amount of money to put a NSX engine into a TL that weighs 1000lbs more...wow. I'm not saying the TL engine is as good as the NSX engine, but it's not like swapping a 3100 for a LS1.

The new RL engine seems like a better route for a 'dream' upgrade to me...other than the bragging rights of having an NSX engine (that non-Honda people won't get anyway).

speaking on the 3 gen tl (as thats what i own) the nsx does produce more hp 290 @7200 vs the 270 hp @6200 my car makes. however the nsx only has 224 lb pds of torque @5500 rpm, my tl has 238lb pds @ 5000. plus the TL produces over 220 from 2500rpm all the way to redline. nsx barely makes it over that amt. so the tl has a much more usable power band. also the tl has the hp advantage till about 6200 rpm. at which point the TL ecu dials back timing and flattens the power curve ( actually it kills the curve )

in a car as heavy as the tl torque is king not hp, youll want to keep the tl motor, or even better get the rl, mdx, pilot or odessey block and go from there. then you will have additional hp but a much wider and thicker torque curve as well

the nsx heavy breathing motor reins supreme up top, but who will be there alot?
its kinda like a na cobra vs. a gt mustang... 0-60 the gt will probably win, from there on up the cobra will start to pull how far and fast due you want to run? in 0-60 and quarter mile runs the tl motor is a better starting point, especially cost wise

Much more than that with the typical bolt-ons applied to the Type-S. I/H/Pulley/Exhaust.

Here's a dyno of a 3.5L CL-S. That equates to roughly 340 crank hp given a loss of 25% through the automatic transmission. With additional tuning 355 crank hp is most definitely possible.

Yes, but the NSX engine has much more potential than the 3.5L conversion. DOHC for starters. Plust more aftermarket engine building experience, i.e., Comptech.
