That's odd. Go to the dealership or AutoZone to pull the codes. The computer should have stored the trouble codes even if the light went off.

It could be anything, really. Cylinder misfire at high RPM, bad A/F ratio, whatever. It's best to get the code(s) read and go from there. Good luck.

hi guys,
This is an update to my engine light issue, i went to the dealer they checked the car computer but no codes were to be found or that's what they claim anyway, they reset the ecu and changed the spark plug on the car cause they don't know were the problem is. i need to mention that the car has 5700 km on it it's like bran new, so i took the car for a test drive and it still does the same thing, i will be back at the dealer on friday morning i guess,
any help why is this happening? anybody with similar issue?
thx

If the MIL ever flashes and goes off, OBDII will store the trouble codes for a scan at a later time.

If you actually saw the MIL flashing with your eyes, and the dealership says there's no trouble codes, they are lying to you. It sounds like random misfire problem.... which has surfaced on the boards several times in the recent past for some reason.

hmm.. must be the weather.

Take the serivce rep out for a drive!!! why would you take their word for it??? Just tell the guy you are going to check and see if they fixed anything... They will always let you check and they will most likely go for a drive with you if they can't remake the problem...

Although it might be a long shot, I brought up a similar issue a little over a week ago. It started happening around the same time I took off the resonator, but that seems just like a coincidence. Whenever I hit the pedal hard, say getting on the expressway, about 5 seconds into it about the time the RPMs get up that high, the Check Engine light flashes for a few seconds and then disappears whe I let up on it a bit.

I talked to the dealership about it and they said they would take a look at it, along with the engine mounts for vibration problem, and the transmission recall all at once - so unfortunately, it won't be for another month until I can get it in for a good checkup.

I am considering bringing it in this Saturday just to see what codes that can find from the check engine light though. I'll keep ya posted since i hate getting that light right as I'm merging onto 294 in IL.

Went to the dealer twicw by now, after changing the injectors and the problem persist, i've been told by the service manager that they don't know why the problem is re-eccuring and they might not be able to fix it at all.
So that's great guys cause Acura invent things that they can't fix. SHAME

So i called Corporate Acura and filed an official complaint with their Custumor Relation, I've been promised that they will get back to me. and that's it folks, So far my experince with Acura SUCKS, Acura SUCK ,SHAME on them.

Well most likely they lost a costumer i will soon be going to another manufacturer and sell this peace of crap that i baught. :buah:

pepe123 I had that problem on my car they had to replace the Fuel Control and the PCM.

I hope this is not what you have, I hope it is something much simpler.

good luck.
