It didnt sound good.......

A breif overview...
For the past 2 weeks or so.. I thought I've been noticing that there was a ever so slight whinning/whizzing sound from the front end. I shrugged it off to my imagination or just colder temperatures for start up.
(my gut feeling was telling me someting else....)
Well, this PM I started the car and the above mentioned sounds was LOUD, to the point I thought a belt was slipping.....Pop the hood and it was coming from the tranny side on the engine, not the belts.
Called to service dept at my local dealer... they havnt called back yet.....

Car has only 43K KM or about 26k miles...

Any bets on what it is..???
Thanks
J

my tranny began whining at 45k miles and they replaced it. don't sweat it, it's under warranty (assuming you have a car in the year/VIN range that honda has cited).

Tranny fluid was dropped twice, a week apart last April.

Level looks good, colour seems ok, BUT the dip stick seems to collect a tad more than usual amount of fine deposit.

Hard to say, but if it is infact coming from the tranny then id say theere is something wrong inside that needs to be addressed. Any check engine lights or anything?

No, not yet...

When it all hit the fan yesterday, I didnt take the chance to venture out. I just shut it off.
I did not want to take the chance and get stranded in rush our traffic etc...

SO I got my car back last night after dinner..
Took the car out for a spin then and this AM.
The guys at Camco Acura were great to deal with. NO hassle what soever.

This is what I have notice on the new tranny.
- it shifts as smooth as the factory installed tranny.
- no oil jet kit installed.
- the shifter is not as silky as the fatory install.
- SS seem to pretty much the same ( expet for the need to sort-of jiggle the shifter to get into SS).

Hoping for worry free driving for years to come...LOL
