Post couple of final questions before buying

Hi all - well I am in negotiating mode for a WDP/parchment TLS with navi.I have a couple of questions first though that I was hoping all of you could help me with:

1. Does anyone have any photos of a TLS with mudguards? And would any of you recommend them?

2. Does anyone know the "dealer" cost for some of the accessories like trunk tray, wheel locks, and mud guards?

3. Finally, has anyone seen a dealer cost listed for the navi system?

Thanks for any help as I am trying to obtain as much leverage as possible to finalize my negotiations. Have I said that this forum ROCKS!!

Thanks

According to Edmunds.com, the prices are as follows:

'02 TL-S:
invoice 28,150
retail 31,230

'02 TL-S NAV:
invoice 29,950
retail 33,230

That gives you an invoice of 1,800 for the NAV system by simple subtraction.

Also, note above prices do NOT include the 480 delivery charge.

Good luck,

Tom

It also looks like prices are coming down. A few people on edmunds are getting great deals on the TL & TLS.

go to edmunds.com, click "new" car pick acura, pick TL, then it will show you a huge page w/ info, reviews & specs on the TL. Somewhere in the middle of the page there are links to "smartshopper for sedans" or something like that. That is where people have posted about their buying experiences. I've seen many posts from that site directing people to this one for more info on the TL.

Or you can just go to www.acura.com and build your own acura and it gives you the price for all the options, plus its fun!

I have had mudguards on my last three cars, '87 Supra, '97 Maxima SE and a '99 3.2TL, I would not think of leaving them off of my car. I always work it into the deal. Everything from dust to dirt and road debris can kick up off of the road onto the fenders so it is a reasonable protector at a minimum expense. Besides, I think the cars looks better with mudguards than without.

These are some shots of my WDP w/ mudguards -- They DO help-- I had them installed four days after I brought the car home, and I noticed that not only do the mudguards keep the sides of the car cleaner (specially on the white diamond pearl), but also I can't hear as many stones or sand or debris spraying up from the wheels onto the side of the car.

I'm glad I got 'em
